~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The next few days, and not seeing Tyler, was a bliss. The boys and I hung out everyday. We still had a two days left until school started so May decided to take all of us to go shopping. Unfortunately, the school I was going to attend, involved a uniform so we had to go buy it.
We got school supplies, the mandatory school gym uniform, a school bag, white tennis show. I decided to at least try to try out for the cheerleading team, so we also got the uniform for that. I also got more cute outfits for after school, parties, and for every Friday. After like two or three hours of shopping, we all headed home.
I walked up the stairs with at least a million shopping bags. All the boys at at least six, so I was very unlucky. I set the bags on my bed and unpacked everything, putting things in my desk and in my drawers and closet.
I was almost done when a knock danced through the entire room. Turning down my music, I called for whoever to come in. I figured it might me either Matt or Gavin, but what surprised me most was that it was none of them. It was Tyler, and he looked very uncomfortable.
I glared. "Can I help you? Or are you here to tell me I'm a bitch again?"
He rubbed the back of his neck and looked at the floor. "How about neither? Um, I, uh, actually came here to apologize to you..." He told me, still rubbing his neck and looking down.
"Wow, your really uncomfortable apologizing, aren't you? That's actually kinda funny. The last week and a half you've been a total dick to me and you seemed 100% sure of yourself then. I mean, I didn't even do anything except watch my family die, and the first thing I get in this house is getting called a bitch!" I'm still glaring at him and my voice is raising, so I'm practically screaming at him. "I got warm welcomes from everyone else, even Gavin and Jake were glaring and giving me evil looks but they all warmed up to me! Hell, after you smacked me, I was crying, wanting to just be invisible. But Blake helped me out, and then I got attacked by the boys and played games with them! Your worse than the freaking devil! Your, your, your the worst person alive! I hate y-" My words instantly getting cut off by a pair a warm, soft lips. I closed my eyes and let him kiss my broken lips. Immediately, I pulled away when I realized who kissed me.
"I get what you mean. And did you say video games? They let you into the den?" He asked me, eyes wide open.
"Yeah... Is that a problem?" I ask, irritated.
"Not really," Tyler shakes his head. "They never let girls into the den. Mom's never even been in there. Your lucky. Your becoming one of the boys. Even though you've been here only a week and a half."
I scoff. "The only girl? Your actually saying your May has never, ever been let in? Even when she's mad, she doesn't come in and pull you guys out?" I ask shocked.
"Yeah, dad is usually the one to pull us out," Tyler nods.
Speaking of, where has Erik been since I got here? "Where is Erik?"
Tyler began to walk out if the bedroom but stood when I ask that. "Ask one of the other boys that. I don't keep track of him," he mumbles. He's obviously mad. Did something happen between the two?
I nod. "Okay, I will. Bye."
He opens the door and before he walks all the way out, he turns around and speaks. " Remember we have school the day after tomorrow. Have everything ready."
I put my hands on my hips and cock a brow. "I know, Tyler. I'm not in second grade. I'm a junior!" He just laughs and walks out, shutting the door behind him.
"Children! Dinner is ready, please come down and eat!" May calls over the intercom.
I groan and get up from my comfortable blue fuzzy chair. I was in the middle of a good spot in my book. The guy had found the girl, half alive, and rescued her. She lived and then found out she was pregnant. So they ended up getting married. But a bunch of evil people attacked their town and killed lots of men, women, and children. The couple decided that they were going to move everyone into the bunkers. And that's where I got interrupted.
I continue to groan loudly as I walk down the steps. I stop at the bottom and walk into the dinning room. I notice an older man sitting at the head, but decided to not draw attention to myself so I sit down at my spot. Immediately as I sat down between Tyler and Gavin, Erik talks.
"So, you must be the new addition to the Freeman family? Sierra, right?" He asks, as if he doesn't really care. How did May, a lovely and kinda women, marry a rude, disrespectful man?
"I am, sir," I answer politely. He nods his head at me as if saying I have good manners.
"Good, good. Your very respectful, unlike all, but Matt. Very nice," he tells me, looking at all the boys with a slight glare. When his eyes land on Tyler, he hardens the glare. "Hopefully, Sierra, you don't turn into the boys. Maybe teach them their manners?" He says it with what sounds like a question, but really commanding me to.
"Yes, sir. I would love to," I answer back, nodding along.
He nods. "Perfect. MaryAnne, please bring he food out!"
Right as he says that, six different people bring out plates, cups, bowls, silverware, and napkins. Once they set those down, they come back out with food.
Do they only act like this when Erik is here or have I just never noticed them? No, that can't be right. The last week and a half, MaryAnne already had everything set out and then she brought a pan or something and served. There wasn't as many people.
Everyone begins to eat while I'm thinking. Suddenly Tyler nudges me and looks pointedly between Erik and my food. I immediately understood and vegan eating. I was the first one done and I just sipped on my water while I waited.
After another five more minutes, the women came back out, took out bowls, and replaced it with a big slice of dough pie. I was also done with that before everyone else. Once Erik was done eating, he immediately got up and walked away. I looked at him, then to May and back.
"Any meal with him is like that," Tyler whispers in my ear.
"And usually when we have people over at dinner, he waits until everyone else is done and then he excuses himself and leaves to his office," Gavin whispers in my other ear.
I gasp, and everyone is looking at me, so I blush. I immediately put my face in my hands and whine. Everyone immediately laughs like before Erik aye ate with us. I started blush worse than before and everyone continued to laugh like nothing could stop them. Eventually I laughed along with everyone else and my blush went away.
That's how the rest of the night went. And before long, we all headed to bed because we had school the next day.
