XI. We're Enemies

Ang Hearthopia ay isang mundong nababalutan ng iba't-ibang uri ng misteryo at hiwaga. Binubuo ito ng limang kuntinente na siyang nagbibigay kulay sa asul nitong karagatan.

Ang Grandina ang pinakamalaking kuntinente sa mundo ng Hearthopia, na binubuo naman ng pitong rehiyon; ang Dragalde, Aurus, Bricen, Flaridelle, La Luna, Saoul, at Tres Islas.

To maintain the economic growth and peace of the  continent, a huge event is being held yearly; it is known as the Annual Grand Festival. Where most people from the seven regions would attend to and unite as one.

On the same day, the Annual Grand Knight Selection Exam would also take place. Dito susubok ang daan-daang grand users na mapabilang sa ranggo ng mga grand knights. Whose job is to  maintain the peace and ensure the citizen's well being.

Isang minuto na ang lumipas nang magsimula ang monster hunt.

I tuck off my long black sleeve upward to check the device on my wrist; it shapes like a rectangular watch, with a two-inch narrow gauge.

The device is called 'wrist gauge,' which measures the total amount of points gathered by a participating candidate after killing a monster.

So far, there's a small green bar on my Wrist Gauge. Ito marahil 'yung points na nakuha ko mula sa maliit na berding slime na pinatay ko kanina.

I roamed my sight to check the place, yet everything seemed silent. Noone's around, not even a single candidate.

Ilang sandali lang ng paglalakad ay may narinig akong kaluskos mula sa di kalayuan. I hid myself behind the nearest bush, then observe what's going to happen.

Seconds later, a wild Vigorilla had appeared from a tree branch; the monster is known for its unbelievable strong arms which could carry tons and tons of weight.

"B-20?" I read silently as I saw the mark on its back.

B-20 could probably mean, Rank B, 20 points. Which means, by exterminating such kind of monster, 20 points will be added to my gauge. Hindi ganuon ka laki ang puntos na pwedi kong makuha mula rito, pero kung papatay ako ng ganitong uri ng halimaw sa mabilis na paraan; it could help me fill my gauge a bit fast.

"Hey Ugly!" I called the attention of the monster.

Mabilis namang ibinaling nito ang atensyon sa'ken na siyang ikinatuwa ko. Nang makaramdam ito ng panganib sa presensiya ko'y agad nitong pinunan ang malaking distansiya sa pagitan namin.

With its right arm, the monster tried to hit me with a slam, but I dodge. Then countered with a punch on his belly. I attempted another strike, but...

Thud

I groaned when it strikes exactly on my chest. While trying my best to keep up; he gives me another push. My back hits hard as I fell to the ground.

"Fuck," I cursed while gritting my teeth.

If I won't do something, his next move would surely crash my bones.

I heared the gorilla's fury from his roar while it keeps bumping his large chest. I took the chance to grab some sand then quickly throw it upon his face.
The beast creates an outrageous cry, it was blinded by the pain on its eyes.

I quickly ran behind the rocks to hide myself, acting like a coward.

Mula sa likod ng isang malaking bato ay palihim kong sinilip ang kinaruruonan ng halimaw. Nakita kong patuloy parin itong nagwawala habang hawak ang mukha.

A vigorillas physical defense is immense due to its thick fat. Kung tanging pisikal na pag-atake lamang ang gagawin ko sa kanya'y siguradong aabutin ako ng siyam-siyam. Malamang ay hindi ko na maaabutan ang kahit isang slot para sa susunod na round.
