I woke the morning after our first date and went to work as usual and tried to wrap up everything quickly since I promised father that I'll be present with them tonight for a family dinner. I didn't want to be there but I'm going just because father personally texted me and said that apparently it's something important.
I now sat in my Coach Embroidered Western Jacquard Dress as I waited for the man who my father had set me up on a date with.
Being the only heiress to the Queens Enterprises brought along a whole lot of responsibilities despite the fact that I owned an company of my own I was still a part of the Kim family and had to oblige to the orders of my father.
He believed that in order for the Queens Enterprises to become more successful then it already is, it has to be merged for business with yet another company. Which in simple words meant a marriage which will seal the deal between the two companies.
Seokjin and Sungjae were both already married which left only me in front of the eyes of my father as Jungkook is still just a high school senior and never would I ever allow him to involve Jungkook in all of this.
The sound of someone clearing their throat brought me out of my thoughts as I turned my head only to find an orange haired man who stood tall with a smile etched on his face.
"You must be Jeon Aera?" He asked with his hand in front of him. "I'm the man you're waiting for, Jung Hoseok". He said and I took his hand in for a handshake.
"Ah Mr.Jung, please have a seat". I said and as soon as he did our lunch was placed right in front of us startling him a little.
"Right Mr. Jung I hope you don't mind, I'd already ordered for the both of us". I said curtly.
"Oh of course Aera ssi! I don't mind at all and please, call me Hoseok". He said with a such a bright smile that the sun would be jealous of it.
As he grabbed his set of cutlery so did I and we began eating our meals.
We made small talk and got to know each other and he seemed to be a really nice guy.
Looks can indeed deceive one.
"Are you done already?" He asked as he noticed me not eating anymore.
"Didn't my father tell you? That my nickname is picky princess? Unless the food is really good I can't have more than three bites".
"Ah, is it like so? The chef here is pretty good though, doesn't matter I'll take you to an even better place next time". He said while smiling.
"You don't have to, there won't be a next time".
"Your father didn't tell me that you'd be this beautiful, I hope there will be". He said playfully.
"I heard you had a perfect academic background and had a good eye for your age. I heard you make clever investments. My father seemed to have fallen in love with you".
"You're flattering me".
"But Mr. Jung, I won't fall for you. I can see everything. You're just laying the groundwork now for a bigger purpose. It looks like you want to marry me so you can have it all. And I don't think it will happen. I grew up in a tough family, so I have very sharp eyes. Take some pocket money from my father and wrap it up. We both know exactly why we're here and I might have to let you know this..this is surely going to disappoint you but...I don't really agree with my father here." I said.
"What do you mean Aera ssi?"
"I don't think marriage is the only way to secure a deal, especially...with a con artist". As I ended my sentence his head snapped up to meet my eyes and his mouth parted a bit in shock which went noticed by me.
