"Are you sure about that? Do you..not remember Mr. Kissable Lips"? He asked as his thumb swiftly grazed my lower lip, pulling it out from my teeth which had it caged.
A deep blush erupted on my cheeks and I shook my head.

I was caught slightly off guard when I felt Jimin's hand slip on top of mine and he rubbed imaginary circles with his thumb across my knuckles.
"It's alright, you don't have to talk about it, not everything is meant to be shared with everyone but I do hope whatever that is going on settles well soon". He said and flashed me his world famous smile and I returned it meekly with a weak one.
I glanced down to our hands and smiled once again.
"Whatever happened today.... it was very unexpected..I'm sorry for having to trouble you to come here". I said feeling guilty for having him take trouble and come all the way over here just for me.
"No, not at all sweetheart! It's my fault for leaving you alone in the first place! I should be the one apologizing! I'm really sorry for what happened". He said and his eyes dropped apologetically.
My cheeks slightly flushed at the nickname he gave me.
"Thinking about it, it's neither's fault here Jimin". I said and frowned.
"It would've happened whether or not you let me go alone, one thing I know for sure is that..whoever planned this is going to pay for this... they'll face the consequences for messing with Jeon Aera". I said with determination in my voice which caused Jimin to smile.
They sure will.." he said and leaned in with his smile still visible.
"Sure will..." I whispered.
Our foreheads touched and soon I felt his breath fanning my lips.
Our lips now inches apart and we closed our eyes ready to feel the other ones lips.
We flinched apart from each other right the moment when a bark caught our attention and our mugs clinked against each other reminding us that they stood here.
With our cheeks flushed and eyes now open we turned our heads to the direction of where the bark came from and we blushed even more.
"Fluffy!" We yelled simultaneously at the little puppy who stood with his eyes shining under the moonlight with his little tongue hanging down his mouth right after barking.
Gosh this little guy...
I straightened out and placed my mug down on the coffee table and scooped Fluffy up into my arms.
"Jimin...I..it's quite late we should go to bed..Ah! Individually..I mean.." I couldn't form a proper sentence and mentally face palmed myself for acting like a high school girl whose lunch box she made just got accepted by her crush.
"Yeah,right..goodnight". He said with his hand awkwardly rubbing the nape of his neck with his cheeks still the color of a light pink shade.
"Goodnight, let me know if you need anything..uhm..sleep well!" I stuttered before walking fast out of the balcony and with quick footsteps I was upstairs, in my room.
With a racing heart and uneven breath I leaned against the closed door of my room and placed Fluffy down gently and the naught guy hopped happily around in my room.
"Gosh you naught little guy! You had to show up just when..just when we were about to kiss!" I yelled the last part in a hushed voice as I moved towards my bed.
We were about to....kiss.
Oh my, God.
OHMIGOD OHMIGOD.
The second time!
This happened the second time now! Gosh!
I plopped onto my bed and kicked my slippers away.
With my face pressed into a pillow I let out a scream which could be crossed between a squeal and whine.

Watching her form leave the balcony I sighed and turned to where I originally stood.
A chuckle escaped my lips as I stared up at the sky.
The second time!
This happened the second time now!
Fluffy really doesn't like me now, eh?
Didn't let me kiss his mommy.
Humph.
Sipping the coffee my nose scrunched as I felt the cold coffee hit my tongue.
Sighing I turned and walked out of the balcony and slid the door close.

As I laid down on the bed with the lights closed my phone dinged to which I grabbed it off the night stand and the light of the phone reflected on my face as I read the text of Taehyung.
Taehyung : Is Aera ssi alright? I saw what happened! It's all over the news.
Jimin : Mhm. She's fine I guess, though what happened today was quite traumatizing.
Taehyung : Where are you? Are you not home?
Jimin : I'm not, I'm at Aera's place.
Taehyung : say what now?
Jimin : I went to her when I heard about the incident and when I followed her home she insisted I stay back for the night and leave in the morning since it was late.
Taehyung : you're not telling me the entire thing are you? You better tell me ALL the detail when we meet in the company.
Jimin : You alien, just go to sleep so that you can even come to work in the first place.

A/N : sorry for the boring chapter 🥺🥺 it's because I've been very unsatisfied with my work these days and I'm trying to think of ways I can improve it :( and I'm working on this book more and more so that I can finish it quickly and start with my other new books :/
