16. Thaluke - Smile

This is an AU, just a small thaluke drabble for y'all to enjoy. (It isn't that good, though XD)

 Thalia's POV 

Thalia laughed along with the others as Sally recounted stories of tiny baby Percy, while the boy himself had his red face buried in his hands, groaning. The 18 year old had obviously expected his birthday party to turn out differently.

She glanced at Luke, sitting beside her, to catch him staring. A blush spread across her cheeks and she looked away from the blond, who didn't stop, even after they locked eyes.

Later in the night, as they walked to an amusement park nearby, she walked next to Luke in silence. 

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Thalia asked, curiosity getting the better of her.

"Like what?" Said the boy, raising an eyebrow.

"Like... staring at me and all." She mumbled.

Luke chuckled. "I like your smile."

Before Thalia could respond, she was whisked away by Annabeth and Piper to the rides, leaving the boys to themselves.

The rest of the night went by in a blur of junk food, scary rides and throwing up. In all the excitement, she didn't have time to talk to Luke, though his words were still fresh in her mind.

It was near midnight when they decided to go back. Thalia fell into pace with Luke out of habit as they lagged behind the others. 

"Luke?"

The blue eyed boy turned to her and raised an eyebrow. 

"You... uh... you like my smile?" She said, looking straight ahead.

He smirked, a lot less reluctant to meet her eyes. "Yeah." 

Thalia stopped, her heart racing inside her chest. 

"W-why?"

Luke cupped her face with a hand and leaned closer to her. She held her breath. 

Eyes fluttered shut, lips brushed against each other's.

"'Cause you look even more beautiful when you do."
