Cody

"Get out."

Jessica's hazel eyes hardened, glaring at me, she walks towards the front door.

"What?!" Her high-pitched voice echoed around the hallway.

"I said, Get out."

After 10 minutes of arguing, Jessica finally storms out in her too high heels.
Finally, the clicking of her heals fades and I lean back into the chair. It's been 7 hours since Taylor ran off and she hasn't returned.
"What have I done? I need a sign, anything, to know she's safe.."

Right on cue, my phone goes off.

"Woah.."

I pick up my phone and answer the call. Unknown.

"Hello, Alpha..
I'm here with your pretty little mate. I'm surprised you haven't come out looking for her yet. Oh, maybe you're too busy with your other girls."

A deep growl escaped my lips. Mainly because he dared to call me.

"Calm down. You know, I was questioning if I should keep Taylor for myself.. She is, my mate after all. "

"Who are you and where is my mate?!" I was talking to Tate, I know I was. The power in his voice was there.

"Its not going to be that easy, alpha. I want to keep her, she's mine."

I growl, again. She is not his.

"What do you mean she's yours? She is my mate." I shout through the phone, it threatening to snap under my grip.

"Oh, you really have no idea, do you, Alpha?"

A female scream can be heard, faintly in the background. It wasn't Taylor though. Although, this angered me all the same.

"You have others trapped?" The venom in my voice, clear.

"I did take extreme measures to find my mate, alpha. The girls are no longer needed, now that I have Tay-" he is cut off my another deafening scream. Taylor's scream. She's calling out for me.

"Tate, I swear to god, give me back my mate!"

"Careful Cody, I'm an Alpha too."

"I don't care who you are, I want my mate back!"

"I'll call back when you've calmed down. Goodbye for now, Cody."

"Tate, give her back! Tate! Tate?!" I was talking to a dead line.

I throw the phone across the room and push myself further into the chair. What have I done?
