On the bus rude home Katy didn't speak to anyone. She was still pondering her strange encounter with Josh. No one but her best friend, Lily, ever gave her the time of day since the incident.
"Hey!"
"Huh?" Katy sat up confused.
"Isn't this your stop?" A red headed girl she'd never seen or spoken to before asked.
"Yea, thanks." Katy murmured.
Katy slowly got up and made her way off of the bus, feeling a bit groggy since she had only a couple hours of sleep and was tired from the long and almost uneventful day.
Quickly walking down the street she made her way to her aunt's house. Upon walking into the house she hears a squeal from the kitchen. Confused and scared she slowly walks around the corner awaiting the danger that could be lurking.
"Katyyyyy!!" Her aunt, Cameron, screams.
Frightened by her sudden outburst, Katy fell backward on her butt.
"What?! You scared me! Jeez!" Katy screamed enfuriated.
"I'm sorry," Cameron paused "Aha no I'm not, I was just really excited. Louis sent me a letter!"
Katy starred at her like she had just slapped a baby. Katy had probably just broken her butt bone because her airhead of an aunt was excited about her boyfriend writing her a letter. Katy stomped up the stairs to her room annoyed. Once she entered her room she flopped down on the bed and starred up at the ceiling. Suddenly she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket.
What the hell? Who could be texting her, Lily got her phone taken. When she saw it was an unknown number she was quick to reply secretly hoping it was Josh.
Hey
Hi?
It's me
Me who?
josh
Oh hi
So what's up?
Nothing um you?
Playing video gamesKaty smiled to herself, he had texted her while he was playing a game. Didn't that mean something?
Sounds fun.
Not really, I'd rather text you.Katy blushed
Oh, thanks.
So can I um ask you something?
Idk, can you?
Mayyyy I ask you a question?
Sure go ahead. While Josh was in the middle of his text Katy's phone died.
"Dammit!"
"Katy! Watch your damn mouth!" Cameron screamed from the kitchen.
"Seriously?!" Katy screamed back with as much annoyance in her voice as possible. "Have you seen my charger?" She screamed again.
"Nope! Sorry!" Cameron yelled again.
Instead of screaming again, she dragged herself down the stairs to ask Cameron if she could borrow hers.
"Can I borrow yours?" she asked Cameron hopefully.
"Not only did you get out of bed, but you came downstairs to ask me for a charger?" Cameron asked appalled.
"Uhhh yea?" Katy put her head down in embarrassment. "I have somebody important to text." She rushed out the last part wanting to avoid questioning.
Cameron starred at her wondering who or what was so important it got Katy out of her room.
"I'm sorry I don't have it I left it at Carly's." Cameron answered turning back to her sandwich. Katy's face fell.
"Okay nevermind." Katy turned to walk up the stairs dissapointed that she never got to answer Josh's question.
