Erik brought over a chessboard, while Rebel she was now trying to get into a bit of contact with Thomas.

"How's it going over there?" Charles asked and Rebel shook her head at his words.

"Leveling the plane and getting through all of the memories in Erik's head took a whole lot out of me. I am not sure if I can contact him directly. I can try to contact Dive, though." She said, rubbing her temples.

"Don't push yourself too far down the path. We might need you later." Erik's voice cut in and Rebel nodded slightly at him as the two of them had begun a game of chess, like they used to do.

They walked into the Hotel Royale where Raven had taken out an entire room full of diplomats and translators and now Stryker was tasering her.

"Rebel." Erik said and Stryker was frozen in place, shocked by the taser that Erik had manipulated all the way back to his neck.

Trask's device was beeped off the charts and he looked at them all and then Charles was talking to Raven, in a soothing tone, as Logan staggered at once backwards to hit the wall.

Erik used his power quickly to grab the forgotten gun off of the table and he pointed it at Raven.

"Erik, don't!" Rebel pleads loudly to him, clearly not wantin' to have to use her powers to stop him.

"I'm sorry Mystique, but as along as you're out there, we can never be all the way safe." Erik says to them, and then he was standing, all ready to pull the trigger.

"Use your powers, Charles. Just stop him." Raven said, and Charles shook his head at her.

"He can't." Erik said and as Raven raced off, Hank leapt towards Erik to try and stop him. But the gun still fires at her and suddenly Dive was standing in between them, having shown up from a puddle of water, but the bullet went right through her ribs and kept right on going.

"Atlanta!" Rebel's voice seemed far away as Atlanta hit the ground and her hand went to her ribs.

Rebel tried to stop the bullet, but her thoughts and panic were everywhere as she looked at Atlanta on the ground and the bullet hit Raven, and then she heard her screaming from below.

She looked at the others with fury in her face and pain where there wasn't fury, and then she sent both Trask and Stryker running with a hard wave of her hand, as Atlanta groaned from the ground, blood beginning to surround her on the floor.

Rebel began to look around, desperate to find something... anything to help to heal her best friend up, as, she laid on the ground, possibly dying.

The thoughts of everyone around her was getting to be too much though, as she lost focus over and over again.

"Who is she?"

"Who would want to be born like that?!"

"She's a monster, an abomination!"

"Someone should put her out of her misery."

"Ah! A beast, a monster!"

"These things come out of storybooks! Not in real life now surely!"

"She would deserve it if it happened, especially by one of her own kind. She doesn't deserve to live among us!"

"They all deserve to die, every damn one of them."

That last thought came from Major William Stryker the man who had just managed to escape with Dr. Bolivar Trask, the head of the program who would eventually use Mystique to fuel his program to new heights.

Or at least his fellow scientists at Trask Industries would, if Raven did succeed in her mission of killing him.

Then a couple of weaker thoughts started showing in Rebel's head, her eyes were glowing blue now, as blue as Dive's usually did.

"Water."

"Water."

"Kid, I need water."

"Where are they?"

"Where are my kids?"

"Where's Alex?"

Rebel looked at Dive as the thoughts were barely coherent, it was like she was drunk. Or going into shock, from the bloody gunshot wound in her ribs.
