Chapter three

I was following Muriel quietly. Our silence wasn't awkward at all. When he stopped walking we were there. He opens his hut and walks in.

My tummy growls again. "Are you hungry?" He asked as I blushed nervously. Of course I was hungry but admitting it is kind of embarrassing.

He walked to one of his parts in his room. I guess it was the kitchen and came back. "Take it"

I put out my hand and he put bread on it. "Eat that. I will make soup in that time. I hope you like mushrooms. If not I don't care"

I sit down on the ground and start eating the bread. Muriel gives Amy some meat.

"Thank you" I say before embarrassing eating the bread again. I don't like this. I don't want to feel that I can trust someone.

"Hey muriel when we walked to your hut I heard your wearing a chains and on your hands you have them too. Aren't they bothering you? Should I take them off for you?"  I asked as he answered extremely fast and short.

"No"

Am I doing things wrong? Do I always hit the weak spots from him? I really try to be nice but I fail all the time. I shouldn't ask why. He would probably get annoyed.

"I- sorry"

He came closer and grabbed my hands with one of his with the other he places the bowl of soup in it. "Be careful it's still hot" he said and let go of my hands.

I start eating in silence and he did too. Guess I could trust him with food. "Muriel your the Scourge of the South, aren't you?"
I asked as he stopped eating.

"..."

He clearly was shock. "I didn't mean to bring this up but I know you. I was there...on the day you run away from the Colosseum. I wasn't blind there. My partner and I were there to spot Lucio. He was watching you fighting. I did too. We planned on finishing him that day but it didn't worked as planned. You left and so did Lucio he tried to catch you up but there was no sign of you. We even met shortly after you escaped. D-do you remember?"

"How do you-" he couldn't find his words he was stoned.

"It was a hit or miss. I can't see you so I didn't know if it was you but I know that a tall male with a wolf flee. Lucky guess I think. I am sorry for making you uncomfortable. I can feel you never wanted to do that. I am asking myself if you tried to protect someone?I know that what Lucio did isn't right so do you want to know what he did to me?" I felt bad that I started to talk about his past. His reactions is showing me his uncomfortable.

"Ifyoufeellikeityoucantellme" he said whispering.

I smiled to myself and patted the ground. I showed him he should sit down next to me.

"About two years ago I had a partner. Like partner in crime. Well actually we didn't do bad things until he started to get sick. It got worse everyday and my magic wasn't enough to safe him. He was on his limit so I made a deal with the devil. The power to protect the one I love. But it had it's consequences. We had to kill count Lucio in a amount of time. After the deal was made Luka and I practiced black magic. Hurt innocent people. Destroyed houses. And used the magic for the worst... "

I took a short break. Talking about it wasn't easy. But Muriel didn't pressured me. He remained in silence until I started talking again.

"One day. The day I met you again should have been the day we finish Lucio. Everything went out of plan until he went missing. A few days later I received a message within Lukas Ponytail. I should go to this abounded place. When I reached the place I heard screams coming from a small hut. It was on fire. I wanted to stop it until... the hut exploded. He exploded in front of my eyes. "

I felt a light touch on my cheek. "Your crying"
Tears fell down my cheek and he wiped them off. I leaned in his hand for a moment and pulled his hand off slowly.

"What I didn't know is that he made a deal with the devil too. If he wasn't able to do so he will lose his eye sight. Since he died I was the one who got it. Since that day I am blind. I don't know if I still have a deal with the devil. I never could see it after that. I need to be stronger and heal the curse. If I be able to see again. I would love to see me again. I would love to see Luka again. If would even be nice to see Asra and You. Do you still have the long hair? What eye color do you have? What eye color do I have... I would love to see the colors again. I would love to bring him back"

"You never wanted to hurt them didn't you?" He asked.

I shake my head.

"Me neither."

I looked to him and smiled. "You have the chains to remind yourself of what you did, right?" I asked grabbing the one on his hand.

"Yes" he said letting me touch them.

"Let me take them of for you. If you feel like you want to wear them again you put them back on but you are more worth than you think. You never wanted to do so but you did to protect someone. So don't look back move on."

He kept silent. "Fine" he said quietly.

The chain I had in my hand snapped of his hand. I pointed out my hand so he lays his hand on it. As he did the other chain snapped off. I put the soup down next to me and crawled in front of him. He was staring at me I could feel it. "Help me out" I said as he grabbed my hands and put them on his neck.

Immediately the chains snapped and his neck was free. "It feels empty" we're the first words he said. He was touching his neck now.

"Want something new?" I ask and wait for his answer.

"What do you mean?" He asked back as I put my hands back on his neck. "What color do you like?" I asked as he looked confused at me.

"Ou right I can't remember them. Sorry if was some kinda of reflex" I said giggling as I could feel he was smiling too.

I was creating a scarf. It was brown- dark green.

"Is the color okay?" I asked as I sit back and hope for some good news.

"It's pr-pr-pr-ett"

I giggled. "I got it your welcome." He was blushing now. Was he starting to feel comfortable around me now?
"I'll be going out now, thanks for the soup"

I stand up and Amy walked me to the door.

"Where are you going?" He asked as if he's worried that I might leave now. I looked back to him and smiled. "I have some news to tell Luka. Want to come with me?" I asked and he stood up and followed me.

"Your curious right?" I asked him as he kept walking behind me. I stopped walking so he did. "Why are you walking behind me? Walk next to me. I am not doing anything to you"

I said and he walks next to me. "Are you going to talk with the dead ones?" He asked

As I shake my head. "No I am talking and they are listening. Don't worry it's not a kind of black magic where I put you into it. It's normal ones. The ones I didn't forgot in this years".
