He simply ignored what I said and went to the kitchen. "Let me help you! I usually never help you in he kitchen let me do now."
"Why?" He asked. "You helped a lot today. Just sit back and wait." He said as he turned his back to me.
I smiled. "Fine"
After we ate Muriel got ready for bed. "I make some more fire. It's cold today." He looked at me waiting for an answer but all he saw is me smiling.
"What are you smiling about?" He asked looking confused.
"I am just excited for tomorrow. I am so happy you asked me to come with you"
He blushed and looked away. "Go to bed." He said and put some woods into the fire.
After some time he was done. He looked to me and immediately he blushed again. "I told you to go to sleep." He said flustered. I tapped the side next to me "I was waiting for you."
"..." "I could tell"
I smiled as he got up and moved closer. I opened the blanket and he got in bed. He closed the blanket after him. I lied down next to him looking at him.
"Thank you for spending time with Me" I said hugging him. His hand resting on my head. I snuggled into his chest. He smelled like the bath we took. It was so soothing.
His heart was beating fast again. And like last night I did the magic circles around his back so he could relax again.
By the sound of chickens I woke up. Muriel was already out of bed. Next to me was Amy. Getting betrayed by your own pet huh?
I got up. Changing clothes and getting ready for the day. I was so excited going out with Muriel. I knew it wasn't just the two of us but I still enjoyed the thought of Muriel wanting me to come with him.
The door opened and it was Muriel entering with Inanna. "Good Morning Muriel! Why didn't you wake me ? I could've followed you?"
I said smiling.
"You were sleeping peacefully. So I didn't wanted to wake you." I blushed.
But Muriel kinda seemed in a bad mood. "What happened Muriel?" I asked as he just looked away.
"I was in Vesuvia already and they are celebrating Lucio's come back."
"The red plague!" I said in shock. "Muriel please tell me you carried you stone with you?"
I asked scared as he pulled out the stone. I sighed relieved. "God thank you."
"When we will visit Asra make sure to wear yours too. You shouldn't get sick." He said walking towards the kitchen. "Did you eat yet?" He asked as I just gave him a quick smile. "No.. no I didn't."
Immediately after his back started to face me my smile faded and my my hands clenched into fists.
Amy realized my tension immediately. Growling at me Muriel turned around. "Is something wrong?" He asked as I just shake my head. "No guess I just woke Amy."
(Timeskip)
Muriel was now putting on my cape and his own. My smile was bright and I was so excited. "Let's go!!"
"Do you have your stone?" He asked as I was showing him my neck. "All safe!" I said and he smiled relieved.
Amy and Inanna stayed at the hut as Muriel and I walked towards the City. "It looked much more beautiful back then right?" I said trying to find a conversation with him
"It looks rotten." He answered
My eyes widen looking up to his big form. "What?"
"Vesuvia looks rotten"
"But! There are a lot of places that aren't. I can show you some." He looked down at me nodding. I smiled.
Finally walking into Vesuvia we heard lots of people cheering. "A festival?" I asked as Muriel just looked in shock into the crowd. "What are you seeing?" I asked as he just looked away.
"Let's go (y/n). We should hurry up to Asra" He said grabbing my hand.
Before he could make a move I saw it. Horses and people entering the City and on one of them Lucio himself.
My eyes widen and the aura darkened immediately. My hand squeezed Muriels his and without even realizing it I moved towards Lucio's direction.
I was like a dark shadow. Creating a weapon ready to do everything just to get my revenge. Muriel was calling out for me multiple times but each time I didn't reacted.
In the end Muriel grabbed me bridal style walking as far as possible. Just away from the crowd. After some minutes I was back.
Still in Muriels hands. "Muriel... I am sorry this happened." I couldn't face him. I was embarrassed. He hugged me. And we stayed like that for a few minutes.
"I know how you feel (y/n) but please keep your cool under crowds. They are not the ones you want to hurt. If you hurt innocent people you are not better than him" He said looking away but he was right. I would be just like him.
"You are right." I said letting go of him. "Sorry again." I said walking away. Muriel grabbed my hand. "Let's go now. We still need to have some fun don't we." He said as I gave him a weak smile.
Muriel was trying his best comforting. Even tho it's actually my job to do. Hand in Hand we walked towards the Magic shop.
Reaching it Asra opened the door for us. "Welcome you two."
Muriel gave Asra a small smile as we both entered his shop.
We both took our cape down and Asra took us behind the shop. In the Corner a red haired doctor jumped up.
He was sitting on a couch and Muriel and I sat next to him.
On the table in front of us was alcohol. Beer and wine. Asra came back with a stack of cards.
"We are playing cards?" I asked and Muriel nodded.
"Asra lost yesterday and he couldn't get his revenge since I had to check on you." Muriel answered.
"You made some trouble huh ice lady?" Julian said laughing. I gave him an annoyed stare as he looked away scared.
