you weren't left with much to do when they left. you realized a part of you had hoped that maybe kendall wouldn't have called and bella could've stayed. it gave you- something to do? someone to take care of?
but you just carried about with your evening, trying to keep yourself occupied when kendall called you before she headed to sleep. "called to say goodnight, baby," she mumbled. you smiled wiping down your counter.
"night, babe," you said. "i told you to stop calling me when you're half asleep," you teased.
"gotta say i love you," she whispered. "love you."
"mmm," you hummed. "sweet dreams," you whispered and that's when her little snores started.
you ended the call and sighed to yourself before crawling into bed yourself. you'd finally told your best friend about the entire situation, unable to keep it to yourself, and she'd replied just as you turned the lights off.
