Inspector Ledoux and Gerard were talking when Ledoux brought up the phantom. Throughout the conversation, Gerard gave the same reply: that he knew nothing more than what has already been told. Ledoux knew by now that Gerard was lying. Thirty years of being in the business, he must know more than what he claims. Gerard soon gave in and told all he could.

Back with  Erik, he was taking his anger out on his home. Throwing things, pushing big props down into to Lagoon, tearing down old backdrops and stomping on them trying to get them to break. (Y/N) finally woke up and took in her surroundings. She was still in Erik's dreamery. Remembering what happened, she tried to sneak past Erik and try escape but he caught her and put her in a cage saying she couldn't leave because she'd seen his face.

She begged him to let her go but he ignored her and went back to his temper tantrum. After talking to Ledoux, Gerard went to find Phillippe to tell him that he's seen (Y/N) and that she is alright, for now anyway. Speaking of, (Y/N) managed to unlock the cage and snuck off but Erik caught her and a chase started as she made her way back up.

Phillippe told Gerard that he was going with him but Gerard kept telling him no and that he would get (Y/N) himself. Phillippe stayed stubborn about it. Gerard told Phillippe what to do before asking if he loved her. Phillippe managed to make an entire speech about how much he loved her saying that she is his life and that she always has been and what he used to be was gone.

That satisfied Gerard. He told Phillippe to take (Y/N) away, not just from the opera house, but from Paris itself because Erik will do anything to get her back. (Y/N) found a way out and came out through the wall back into Phillippe's arms. Seeing (Y/N) leave, Erik went back down. The three got Phillippe's coach and went to his house.

(Time skip)

It was the next morning. (Y/N) was in bed while Phillippe and Gerard watched over her.

"She needs rest," Gerard told Phillippe.

"It's all my fault," (Y/N) said in tears.

"No, no! I shouldn't have let you stay down there," Gerard said.

"No, no! It was fine. He was so happy. If you think he didn't warn me, he did. But I said no. Really I can look at your face. Love will let me look at it. But I couldn't! I'm not worthy of him."

Phillippe left not liking the words coming out of her mouth.

"I upset Phillippe. I betrayed Erik's trust."

"It will be alright," Gerard told her.

"No! Oh, no. Never! I know it. He will die from this, and you know that I'm right. I must go back. How could I have done this to him?"

"(Y/N)!"

"I can't... I can't let it all end for him like this. If you're worried for me, please, there's no need. He wound never hurt me."

(Y/N) went back to sleep. Despite his actions, Erik was starting to miss (Y/N) so much. He didn't mean to get angry with her. She thought she was prepared for his face but she wasn't. Sad, Erik went to her dressing room and hugged her wig she wore in Faust before she went to Erik's home. Phillippe still wasn't happy how (Y/N) talked about Erik. Gerard tried to convince him that all she wanted to do was make amends.

That wasn't true. (Y/N)'s plan was to go see him and apologise for what she did. Even though they've not known each other very long, (Y/N) loves him more than Phillippe. To her, they were just childhood friends and nothing more. That night, (Y/N) had a dream. Erik was dying. Dying of a broken heart. She woke up and begged Phillippe to take her back because she had an idea.

(A/N: My heart... can't take this! AHHHHH!)
