Pop a pill on the side
Drown your name in the glass
Ignore the way my soul sighs.
I spend all day
Avoiding myself,
Pretending, lying, telling myself
that I am not thinking of you.

Does not really help
This fragile grip on sanity.
But it's impossible to ignore...
