Humans are programmed to have memories, we all have them. We favor some more than others. What was your favorite memory? Perhaps it was in a treehouse as a small child. Maybe it was your first kiss? We all have those wonderful times. But what makes them so special?
~Four years later, June 2nd~
The house's door opened quietly, not to disturb those who chose to relax. The clicking of heels filled the hallways as a young woman entered the house. Her E/C eyes scanned the halls and her H/C hair bounced softly with each step she took. The woman looked as if she was looking for someone.
And alas, she found him.
"Ivan!" She yelled, running up to the said person, engulfing him in a hug. He looked surprised at first, but smiled at her presence. His lips forming into a small grin. He hugged her smaller form protectively, as if someone could take her away right then and there.
"Da, hello Y/N." He said, pecking the top of her forehead lovingly. She grinned and turned to take off those painful shoes people call 'high heels.'
"Okay! I'm done! And I'm back from work. Hello Ivan!" She breathed tiredly. Today at the lab was busy for her, and today's results were difficult to analyze. She had to observe plants that were affected by a past disease, deadly to plant organisms.
Y/N ran back swiftly into their room, after kicking off her heels. She NEEDED to get out of this outfit and into something comfortable. The female closed the door behind her and undid her hair. She started to take off her jacket and shirt when knocking on the door happened.
"Sunflower? Why are you running away?" Y/N heard the distant cries of Ivan's pleading voice. She sighed and laughed. "Ivan, I'm just changing, don't come in!" She reassured, tossing the article of clothing on the other side of the room due to sheer laziness. A chuckle was heard from Ivan's side of the door.
"Wouldn't it be more fun if I came in?~" Ivan sang in a voice. Y/N sighed at his acts and shook her head. "No Ivan, I'm about to come out, don't be impatient." She insisted before changing into pajamas quickly. With one last glance in the mirror to check if nothing was on backwards, she opened the door to find Ivan was surprisingly not there. Y/N skipped out to the living room in confusion, before seeing her lover on the couch, scrolling through things to watch.
"Movie night, hm?" Y/N asked, before joining him on the couch. He nodded and said a simple 'da' while still scrolling through channels. "Comedy sounds nice tonight. What do you think Ivan?" Y/N asked, leaning on his arm and clinging onto it like a koala to a tree.
"I am wanting the laughs anyways." Ivan giggled at the girl beside him, before spotting a title that looked interesting. He pressed the button, and the movie started shortly, cue-ing the intro. Suddenly, Ivan got up, leaving his girl's side to go to the kitchen. She frowned and asked why he was getting up.
"I am simply making popcorn. You stay there." He said, waving her to sit down, in which she obliged. While she sat, Y/N decided to think about what has happened since her life in Moscow. Many things have happened in just four years.
Y/N and her best friend, Emily or Emi, lived together for a year, they even graduated together. Her best friend finally found love and stopped bullying her....As much.... Though Russia does not support gay marriage, so Y/N's friend moved to Canada with the love of her life.
At that thought, her phone started to ring. Y/N jumped in surprise and picked up her phone, not even checking the caller ID.
"Hello! Uh- I didn't check the ID, who are you?" Y/N heard a giggle at other end of the line. A girl's giggle.
"It's me, Emi! I'm your bestie and you already forgot me!? Such a tragic moment!" Emi said from the other line, playing off a dramatic tone. Y/N rolled her eyes and greeted her friend anyway. "Hello Emi. How are you doing?" Y/N said again, properly greeting her friend. Emi seemed to get happier from her side over the phone, talking with Y/N about the small things and how life was going.
"Oh Emi, how's Natalya?" Y/N asked curiously. She wonders if she did something wrong when Emi went silent on the other side for a moment. Relief washed over her when Emi giggled loudly, sounding flustered.
"Aha, we're getting married soon! Definitely in pride month! Speaking of pride month, there is a festival Nat and I are going to in Canada. I wanted to know if you and your husband wanted to come. Ya know, as straight allies?" Emi explained in a sort of question tone. Y/N heard festival and pride and she already wanted to go. Y/N laughed happily and smiled, squirming with energy on her couch.
"Oh I sure as hell wanna go! I'm on break for a month so I can ask Ivan if we can go!" Y/N said happily. Emi made noises of happiness and squealing. "Okay! I'll discuss it to Nat and we can stuff ready for you! Byeee!" Emi said quickly, yet Y/N had enough time to tell her goodbye before she hung up. Once their call was ended, Y/N yawned tiredly and placed her phone on the coffee table near their couch. As if on time, Ivan came into the room with two bowls of popcorn.
"Who were you talking to?" He asked curiously, tilting his head like a puppy would. Y/N snickered at his adorable expression and patted the seat next to her. Ivan obliged, taking a seat next to his wife. Y/N had metaphorical stars in her eyes as she explained to Ivan.
"Oh my gosh! Emi invited us to a pride parade and she's getting married to Natalya this month!" She cheered happily, despite her exhaustion. Ivan nodded with a smile, as if liking the idea.
"Da, we can get ready tomorrow if you like." He said, wrapping his arm around Y/N protectively. "I think it will be loads of fun, da?" Ivan asked, pressing play on the movie.
"Yeah, I think it will be." Y/N agreed, her eyes now fixated on the screen.

I'm sad but happy at the same time! Like woooaaah this is crAzY!
Well thank you for being on this journey with me! We started this story on April 23, 2019! (ATLEAST ON QUOTEV) It's a year old, since I went on a short break after accidentally falling into the undertale fandom. Well now it's finished. I apologize if this ending isn't how you wished it ended.
In the future I'm SO gonna cringe how bad I was at this.
~Marie, signing off.
