None of us slept after that. We all gathered in the living room and Amber, Daisy and I tried to sober up. We threw up and had a tonne of coffee after brushing. But we were still hungover, we at lazily on the couch and tried to comprehend what had just happened.

I did not hand the second note to anyone else, it would be easier to check fingerprints if many people didn't touch it. I put it in a plastic zip-lock bag and handed it to Noah when he arrived.

"Paris, it would be so much better if you just move to another city and start a completely new life. Don't tell any of us where you're going, just go." Mike said.

"I can't do that. Firstly, I don't want to be running my whole life and secondly, I would feel a lot safer where all of you are, and that is right here." I argued.

"Paris can I talk to you alone for a minute?" Noah asked me.

"Sure." I got up and walked to the kitchen with Noah close behind me. "What is it?"

"So, this isn't much but I have found this voice message." He said and took out his phone and earphones. He handed one pod to me.

Paolo, my brother! I haven't seen you in so long. I'm just calling to ask if you found that little bitch yet. I cannot afford a worthless girl running around telling everyone how she got abducted by you. Next thing we know, all the other girls escape and our downfall begins. Find her soon, you told me to trust you with this. Won't be long before I send dozens of my men around the city. Ciao.

The voice was deep and he had an Italian accent. The way he spoke directed that he had a lot of power and control.

"Oh my God! This is bad, isn't it?" I said and took a deep breath to prevent another breakdown.

"It is. I also found out that the government is being overpowered by the mob. I found a few emails from officials to the mob boss asking to release innocent people who are being kept captive."

"There are more people? How many? Can we do something?"

"Well, for starters we can keep our volume down. If anyone finds out what we know, we will all be murdered. I will try to find more but for now, we have to concentrate only and only on your safety."

"Okay. But there are others? Girls? Children?"

"Most probably. Minors and girls, there are deleted records of missing person cases, whoever looks for the ones kidnapped are made to shut their mouths either by money or threatening their lives. This is all I know."

I just nodded, not able to comprehend what to do with this information. He started walking out of the kitchen towards the living room.

"Noah?" I said quietly but he heard.

"Yeah?"

I said nothing, just walked over to him and hugged him and felt his arms, which were surprisingly strong, wrap around my small frame. Being so close in proximity to him, my nose picked up his scent. It was ambrosial.

"Thank you." I whispered and pulled back after a second.

He smiled at me genuinely and we walked back to the living room.

.

"So, we have another note and we should not be taking this lightly. We all need to come up with a plan to keep her safe." Noah explained.

"You're right. I suggest we keep her in the house most of the time and either of us escort her anywhere she has to go." Mike said.

"That is a good idea, we should all discuss our daily schedules so we can make sure someone is with her all day."
