"LISA", Kandi screamed, awakened from her slumber.

"What is it, a fashion emergency? Do we need to go back to the mall?", Lisa asked running into her room.

"No, I told Kevin I was going to call him once I was settled in here, but I forgot. Do you have a phone?", she asked.

"That's it?. .Yeah the landline is in the living room on the wall, next to the tv", Lisa sighed.

"But hurry up we have to be at school in about 2 hours", she said, grabbing Kandi's arm.

Kandi's called Kevin at least three times and he's hasn't picked up the phone, I mean I wouldn't either if it was an unknown number.

"Hello?", Kandi said when someone finally picked up the phone.

"Hi, who's this?", Kevin's mom said on the other side of the phone.

"Hi Miss Anderson, it's Kandi, is Kevin home?" Kandi asked.

"Oh Kandi, yeah I'll put him on the phone. . . KEVIN YO LIL GIRLFRIEND ON THE PHONE", Ms. Anderson announced.

"Ma stop being so loud, and she's not my girlfriend. . . yet" he said thinking Kandi couldn't hear him.

"Hey Kandi, I've been waiting on your call", he said, after snatching the phone from his mother.

"Hey, I'm sorry I didn't call you earlier I kind of forgot", Kandi admitted.

"It's all good, how was your first day of school there?", he asked.

"Um it was very interesting", Kandi said, hoping he wouldn't ask for details.

"I bet it was", he chuckled. "But I'm gonna come visit you in a couple of weeks, and I'm thinking we should go on a date, I don't wanna just jump into a relationship with you until both of us are ready. So, you down?", he asked.

"Yea, I'd like that", Kandi said, trying to contain her excitement.

"Aight cool, I'll talk to you later", he said.

"Bye", she said, while hanging up the phone.

"So what did you guys talk about", Lisa asked, cheesing extra hard.

"He asked me how was my first day at school. Then he told me he was going to come and visit me-

"And then what, get to the good stuff" Lisa said, cutting her off.

"He asked me out on a date", Kandi said, smiling and jumping up and down.

"Oh my gosh, that's great! That means you can wear that new outfit you picked out at the mall yesterday", she said, taking her hands and jumping up and down with her.

After math Lisa and Kandi decided to go to their lockers and put their books away. Lisa's walking a little too fast for Kandi so She's trailing a little bit farther behind her.
