Chapter 5
After some time he seemed to gather himself, and turned his back to me taking deep breaths. When he turned back, he had a calm face, though the laughter remained in his eyes.
"I am so sorry. I usually don't burst out laughing like that. It's just that... you're funny!" He smiled at me, then shook his head. "Where were we? Oh yes, I was asking about your eyes. Why don't you change back into your human form so we can talk?" I almost shook my head, but luckily remembered what had just happened.
I can't, I wanted to tell him. I don't know how to change back. If I knew, I would have done it long ago. His eyes narrowed as I thought this, and he smiled a crooked smile.
"I can hear you now, you know. A full moon human and wolf can hear each other's thoughts, even if they are not bonded." His smile widened of my shocked eyes. Have you heard all of my ridiculous thoughts so far?
As he shook his head, I was torn between being relieved because he hadn't heard me before, and being embarrassed because he now knew that I had been thinking ridiculous things.
"I only hear what you want to tell me. And that is really good, for if werewolves and humans could hear all of each other's thoughts, our head would be full of chaos at all times."
I let out a deep, mentally breath. I would go crazy if someone could hear my secret thoughts...

A while later we were sitting by the fire, or lying in my case. The night was dark, and I was keeping an eye on the forest in case any more wolves or other creatures would come sneaking.
Speaking of wolves, the one who attacked me earlier was now lying peacefully by our side, the flames bathing his shaggy, brown fur in an orange light. I had understood now that this was his wolf, or the one he was bonded with. I could feel the wolf's golden eyes following me when I moved.
"So... you're a fresh full moon who have no idea how to do anything in the wolf body or how to change back..." He sighted dramatically. "Then I guess it's my responsibility to teach you all this, since I - after all - am a full grown, wise werewolf."
I narrowed my eyes at him. Full grown? You don't look much older than me...
He smiled that crooked smile again. "Okay, you're right - I'm nineteen. But I became bonded with Cole - my wolf - when I was only eleven, so I've been a full moon for quite some time."
I tried not to show my surprise. Eleven? What I was going through - the painful change, the fear, your family taking you for a wild wolf and attacking you - must have been ten times harder at that age. How have you survived on your own?
"Well, surviving in the wild is quite easy when you are a wolf. When you learn to follow your instincts and listen to your inner wolf, everything feels really natural."
"Speaking of which, if I'm going to teach you wolf life we can actually start with that."
His smile widened, and his eyes narrowed making him look a bit wicked.
"Tomorrow we will go hunting."

Sorry for really short chapter... I end them where I think it fits the story, and when I dont have time to write more, but is it better to wait and rather have longer chapters?
Tell me what you think!
