The elevator dinged open and I was greeted by my father; Poseidon. He had often visited me in my dreams but this time he looked grim. I realised I was at Olympus. We sat on a bench beside his statue and I looked him in the eyes, green and full of pain.
"Why did you keep this a secret? Why?" I demanded, it was hard to be angry at him when he was being so vulnerable.
"It was for everyone's safety. Percy was my son, my pride, he was my family but he went against me and the council. He seeks to destroy us and you must help us stop him. I know it is a terrible burden and I'm sorry for it but you have to stop him. It's your duty. You have to save us from his wrath, at any costs." He replied. And I understood, he was right. I had to stop him before he destroyed the gods, at any cost, even if I had to sacrifice my self because my life was not important, theirs was. The gods had to live no matter what and we were their faithful children. We had to do what they ask us to.
I nodded and walked back towards the elevator. I was gonna stop Percy Jackson.I opened my eyes to my familiar cabin ceiling and just lay there, I was not in the mood to get up. Percy Jackson was a hero. He had done so much for the Olympians but still he was not happy. Why? I always wondered if this really was what life is; training your whole life, to fight for the gods, keep them safe and protect them. Although we had been fed this rule from the day we trained, it still felt "not okay" to just throw away your life if they asked but we had to do so for family. I thought about how Nico had told me that Percy was my brother. How could it be possible? I always thought I was the only child of Poseidon in a century and it just felt weird to call him my brother, because he was not! Everyone was related on the godly side and I had no other connection with him so no he was not my brother. He was more like a half-brother as we were only related on the godly sides. For some reason I felt good after this.
"Hey Estelle! You up?" Harris called from the door.
"Yeah! I'm up!" I answered, still not getting out of bed.
"Good! Cause Nico is looking for you and let me warn you, he is not in a good mood so hurry up!" Said Harris and I heard him walk away.Ugh! Now I had to deal with Nico. After the incident yesterday, I admit I was scared of Nico and Leo. I had never seen their angry side and let me tell you, it was scary.
~time skip~
"Okay! So you want to surrender, without a fight, without raising a single sword because you think he is invincible!" I asked Leo.
"Yes! Thank you for summarising that up!" Leo replied, with a grin plastered to his face.
"Oh c'mon! We can't give up! There has to be something we can do! We have to save the gods!" I pleaded them to help.
"Yeah? So they can mess up more lives or throw us on an inescapable island that no one can reach!" Screamed Leo, sounding hurt.
"Woah! Leo! Let's just check our options okay! And you be silent for few minutes. Okay?" Nico said, trying to calm down Leo. I think he said alot more than he wanted to but we had other problems. We had been sitting in Leo's workshop for an hour and we still could not decide whether to fight or not. But I had made up my mind.
"I'm gonna fight! With or without you! And if you try to stop me, I will not hesitate to fight you too." I said.
"Estelle listen-" Nico started but I cut him off.
"No! You listen! This guy cannot be invincible! There has to be some weakness! Someone has to be his equal! Someone can defeat him! And why can't we be that someone?" I asked him.
"There was someone." Nico replied, while Leo just sat there fiddling with a cube, "the flame to his heart, Annabeth Chase; daughter of Athena and the Architect of Olympus. He loved her as much as she loved him and if anyone could control Percy and keep him in line, it was Annabeth." Nico stopped to wipe his eyes and then continued, "but unfortunately, she is dead. So we have no idea what to do. She used to be the mastermind strategist and without her we have no hope."
