•Ch.5•

Ava had everything prepared and was just finishing up getting ready in her shared room with Crawford. She was checking her appearance in the mirror when a knock was heard on the door. It opened immediately and she noticed Crawford peak his head around the door.

"You ready baby?" He asked her, beaming from ear to ear, feeling excited to take her out again.

"Yep! Let's go" Ava said excitedly, grabbing her shoulder bag and heading towards where Crawford was stood in the doorway.

"What's in the bag, we're only going on a date" Crawford chuckled softly, noticing it wasn't the regular small purse she usually brought with her.

"You'll see" she smirked, brushing past him and heading for the living room where Corey, Chelsea and JC were sat, watching TV.

"Hey guys, bye guys" Ava chirped, heading straight for the door.

"Have fun" JC joked, wondering why she was so full of energy.

"Bye" Crawford laughed, appearing from the hall way and following behind Ava, outside the door.

The couple got in Crawford's car and he drove them towards their favourite place, the lake. Seeing as it had been a while since they had been out on a date, he went cliche and arranged a picnic for them both under the stars.

When they arrived, Ava became more excited, knowing this night was going to be extremely special. She just hoped he took the news well.

They sat on the blanket Crawford had set up and began eating some of the food he had packed whilst laughing about stupid things.

"This is perfect, thank you so much for doing this" Ava told him, smiling from ear to ear.

"Anytime." He smiled back.

"Crawford I have something we need to talk about, it's pretty important" she told him, turning slightly more serious to before.

His heart sank a little, feeling slightly anxious, like anyone else would when someone drops that sentence.

"Don't panic, it's not bad" Ava chuckled, noticing the change in his facial expressions.

Crawford let out a breath before laughing with Ava as well.

"Before I tell you, I've got to film it. You'll see why" she told him, taking out her vlogging camera from her bag and placing it on the ground in front of them and pressing record.

"Uhhh okay..." Crawford laughed in confusion before checking himself out in the camera.

"Okay. So this is gonna be a shock but I hope you're gonna feel as happy as I was when I first found out. Inside this box is a little surprise" she explained, pulling out a medium sized white box with silver ribbon wrapped around it.

Crawford took it from her hands and began to unwrap the ribbon. Ava felt her heart rate pick up from nerves as she watched him open the box.

Crawford looked inside the box and immediately felt taken back.

"What the-" he began, before pulling out the ultra sound photos and a positive clear blue pregnancy test.

He stared at them in awe before looking over at his girlfriend in disbelief.

"You're pregnant?!" He choked out.

"I'm pregnant" Ava nodded, feeling her eyes tear up slightly.

"Seriously?!" He asked for clarification, feeling the shock and excitement hit more and more.

"Yeah" Ava laughed as she nodded.

"Oh my god" Crawford laughed lightly before grabbing Ava and hugging her tightly, smiling widely.

"I-I can't believe this- how? I thought-"

"Miracle baby" Ava told him.

"It is literally a miracle" she told him, not removing the huge smile from her face.

"I can't believe this...we're having a baby. We're having a fricken baby! Oh my god" Crawford spoke, raising his voice slightly in excitement.

"I know we're young but this is probably our only chance and obviously we have a lot of things to talk about regarding this baby at another time but...are you happy?" Ava questioned.

"Babe, I'm over the moon, I don't care whether we may be a little too young or not. As you said, this is probably our only chance and we're gonna be the most amazing parents we can be" he told her, placing the test and pictures back inside the box to keep them safe.

"Thank you" Ava smiled, leaning forward to kiss him on the lips softly.

Ava turned off the vlogging camera and placed it back in her bag.

"Who else knows?" Crawford asked curiously.

"Colby, Franny and Corey" Ava told him.

"I'm presuming Corey forced it out of you" Crawford chuckled, knowing his best friend a little too well.

"Something like that" Ava nodded, laughing lightly.

"Yo this is actually insane" Crawford laughed.

Ava laughed also, feeling relieved that he had taken the news well.

"What are we gonna tell our parents? When are we gonna tell them? We should probably tell them soon-" Crawford began to rant, overthinking everything.

"Crawford chill, we'll talk about it all tomorrow" Ava laughed.

"Okay" Crawford breathed out, laughing with her.

"We gotta tell JC and Chelsea soon though as well seeing as we are literally living with them" Ava laughed.

"Oh yeah true" Crawford agreed.

He felt overwhelmed with joy. When he and Ava first started dating and he found out about her infertility it broke his heart thinking about the future. But this was finally happening, maybe a little sooner than planned, but it was happening.

"Wait when's the due date?" Crawford questioned.

"29th September" Ava smiled. He nodded and started smiling again. He was already feeling impatient and filled with excitement.

This was really happening.

"I love you" Crawford told her, smiling at her before looking down at the box again.

"I love you too" she told him, leaning over and pecking his cheek.

Crawford wrapped his arm around Ava's waist, pulling her close to him. They stayed like this for a few moments, just enjoying the peace of each other's company before Crawford spoke up again.

"Is this why you've been so moody lately?!" He questioned her laughing, earning a shove in response.

"Shut up I was stressing!" Ava laughed defensively, watching him as he felt amused by his comment.

"Makes sense" he laughed. Ava rolled her eyes playfully before grabbing a muffin and shoving it in her mouth.
