As I walked outside the walls of Whiteglen everything felt colder, without the buildings around for cover and protection the winter wind cut right through me, but my new clothes kept me warmer than the old boots and rags I had worn before.

I passed a few guards who still hadn't uncovered anything.

I wander why Keith even hires them they're pretty useless.

I smiled to the both of them, trying to maintain the cute, friendly and helpful face that they were used to seeing.

The walls outside of town didn't have any more clues to be found, but as I came around the east corner I noticed some oddly placed bushes pressed tight against the wall.

It was obviously unnaturally placed and looking at closer it seemed there hadn't even been an effort put into making it look natural, I gave the think and kick and it just rolled away revealing a large hole in the ground.

I really have no idea how these guards are employed.

I took deep breath getting ready to climb into this dark dirty hole and chuckled to myself.

Not the first dirty hole I've climbed into.

The tunnel was short, cold and well used, smoothed out on the bottom but far too small for any averaged sized man to fit in, I only just squeezed through it, coming out the another end I found myself in a small wooden room, so cramped I couldn't even hold my arms out.

It was dark but I could make out the white wood the building was made out of, it had a few shelves, glass bottles placed on them and they where all filled with a thin green liquid, I grabbed a few and threw them into my bag.

The door to this small hut was locked and I didn't think appearing out of a locked building in town would look so good for me so I climbed back through the hole.

I tried to rub the dirt off my new trousers but they were rather ruined, heat radiated across my face as I thought about seeing the tailor again.

"Bark!"

The sudden noise from the forest grabbed my attention and I was surprised to a see a dog, a pretty big dog at that, standing in the tree line staring at me with its tongue hanging out of its mouth.

"Hey buddy, how are you doing?"

The dog let out a high pitched whine and ran with the panic of a hunted animal into the woods, I naturally charged after it.

The fact this dog appeared just after I found this hole is too suspicious, maybe its a lookout.

I pulled out one of my daggers, ready to fight whatever this dog led me too, Instinctively I had a feeling there was something bad coming.

The dog leaped over the bramble and weaved between the trees as though it had spent its whole life living and hunting in these woods, it would have to be fast to outrun those Winter Cats I had been told about by Percy, if it is a wild dog it must have some strong will power to survive out here.

I kept pace with the hound but it didn't take long before we arrived at a clearing in the woods, completely barren of all plant life bar grass, the dog just sat wagging its tail at me.

"You gave me quite the chase little guy, you got an owner?"

"That would be me"

Sat on a branch high in a tree swinging his leg in the wind sat a red armoured man, well made leather armour, something that would cost a fortune, his skin was as pale as mine naturally is, his beady eyes looked sinister and his whole aura sent a shiver down my spine.
