With Trollex:
Trollex had done it.
He had finally, and successfully, managed to do the Siren Screech.
Just like his mother had.
He could only hope that everyone who considered him family would be able to hear it.
Trollex stopped screeching, smiling proudly at what he managed to do.
He then gasped in fright, quickly flying out of the way as the giant scorpion tried attacking him after he had finished screeching.
“Trollex, what the heck was that!?” called Branch, slightly ticked that they had no warning.
“I’ll explain later, right now we need to survive!” called Trollex back, barely avoiding one of the three stingers that tried stabbing him.
Poppy and Branch exchanged worried glances and nodded.
Before they could help Trollex, the Techno Troll stopped them.
“No, stay near the fountain and protect Barb, she needs more help than I do!” said Trollex, using Speed Skip to zip around the scorpion, avoiding its snapping pinsirs.
Barb scoffed and rolled her eyes, her arms crossed.
“I don’t need protecting, I can protect myself perfectly fine” said Barb, scowling.
“But-” began Poppy, but Trollex interrupted yet again.
“PLEASE! Just do what I say!” cried Trollex, feeling like he wanted to cry, trying to keep the tears from brimming his eyes.
Sometimes he felt like the other leaders never listened to him, because he’s younger than them, but he knew this wasn’t the case. In fact, the other leaders were only trying to help and protect him, and he knew that they cared about him.
Poppy saw this, terribly worried about what would happen to the young Techno King if they didn’t help him, but knew that he was only trying to protect them like they had for him.
While Trollex was keeping the scorpion distracted, Poppy and Branch immediately got to work, keeping the vines away from them as they tried to attack the four Trolls that were too close to the fountain.
Riff continued to swing the axe-like guitar, chopping any of the vines that threatened to get too close while Poppy and Branch used Hair-Jitsu. Barb was unable to do anything to help, because of her ribs and leg. She could see that Riff was beginning to struggle, trying to hide the fact that his arm was stinging in pain.
Barb perked up, remembering they were near to the fountain of healing.
Barb grabbed Riff’s arm, pulling him towards the fountain and untying the bandages, removing them from his arm.
“Hey, wait! What are you-?” began Riff, trying to escape her tight grasp, but hissed in pain as Barb dunked his arm into the water against his own will.
The two were shocked as they watched his arm begin to heal, the burns and blisters disappearing slowly before nothing was left.
Barb pulled his arm out and examined it, seeing that there were no longer any burns from the acid.
“Your arm...the water actually healed it” muttered Barb, speechless.
She then turned her attention to the water in the fountain.
Without thinking, she sat on the edge and began untying the bandages tied around her leg.
“Barb, what are you doing!?” asked Riff, unable to look at the wound on her leg. The blood that had soaked the bandages was old, her wound looking like it was beginning to get infected.
