Keith picked up kai from school and started a drive back home. He already informed his boss on what was going on and let him go.

Kai sat in the front seat holding onto Keith's favorite jacket. He wanted to hold his father's had but that would be dangerous and could cause a car accident. He didn't want to bring more problems to his dad.

Keith looked over at him and saw that he was down. He hated seeing his son like this every time he goes to school.

"Hey you want some ice cream? I'll even by a AOT coloring book for you." Keith said trying to make him feel better. It was a little bit cause he gave Keith a small smile.

"Ok then I'll drop you off at home. Take a quick nap to get your mind off of what happened today."

Kai only nodded his head at his father. He looked out the window and saw a teens who were probably skipping school playing and having fun. Most importantly talking....like a normal person would do.

Kai has thought about this before but what was his reason for not talking. Just because of a stupid trauma he had when he was very little. No wonder people at school treats him like this. He's not deaf at all. He can talk but...it's hard for him to. He wants to do it but he can't.

He's so afraid to do it.

"We're here K. You go ahead and take a nap. I'll be back as fast as I can." Keith told him. He pulled kai in for a quick hug and a kiss on the head.

"Everyone takes their time in things kai. Some have a longer time getting over it but I'll help you every step of the way."

"Thanks dad. I'm going in now." He signs to Keith. There he goes doing it again.

Keith waited for kai to safely walk into the house before driving off. Kai walked to his room and laid on his bed. He felt safe in his room most of the time but he also felt lonely.

He pulled out his phone and saw that Nico had texted him.
Nico
Hey man! Are you doing ok?

Kai
Yes

Nico
I'm sorry that you had to deal with that and I only made the problem worse.

Kai
It's ok you were only trying to help.

Nico
I still feel guilty tho.

Anyways why are you still with that girl? All she does is Bully you and make you feel back about things that isn't even your fault.

Kai
She's the only person that would date me.

Nico

Class is about to start soon gtg. Got any plans over the weekend tho?

No

Great! Let's by that AOT game! We can play with it at your house since my dad doesn't like me playing that type of game.

Kai
Ok sounds like a plan.

Kai put his phone down and laid down on his pillow. He decided it was time to sleep now. He still needed to clear his head about what happened.

Trigger warning abuse is coming up ahead I'll tell you when it's safe. If you choose to ignore this and blame me for any triggers then that's on you and not me cause I'm giving a warning.

"Wahhhhh daddy I'm hungry ahhh!" A little kai yells out to his former father. He hadn't ate yet and as a 4 year old he was at the time he was cranky about that.

"I said you'll eat when I finish my goddamn bear!" He father yelled throwing a bear bottle to the ground as a warning.

"If you don't shut the hell up right now you'll not get shit! You know what how about this!"

He picked up a knife and started to walk towards kai. Kai was frighten by this and ran to the nearest room and locked the door.

"Get back here you little shit! I'm going to cut that goddamn month of yours so you could shut the hell up! Do you pay the fucking bills in the damn house!"

"I'm sorry daddy! I'll be a good boy I promise! I'll be quiet!" Kai said as he started to cry even harder now. He knew better then the bother his father like this yet he done it anyways.

"You better be! I don't got time for this I'm going out! Make your own damn food if you're fucking hungry!"

He heard his father slam the door shut leaving his starving child to suffer.

Kai sat up from his bed really fast like he had just had a bad dream. Well he did have a bad dream and it was about the man that has helped his mother create him into this world but soon lift when he was born.

He had fresh tears coming from his eyes which he quickly wiped away. Keith could be home any moment now and he didn't want to be seen like the this. He should be over this trauma by now but wasn't.

He walked downstairs and saw that Keith just returned home and was fixing kai some ice cream. He looked and saw that kai and gave him a smile.

"Hello kai. Did you have a good nap?" Keith asked him while showing him the coloring book that he promised him.

"Yes" was kai only reply.

Yayyyy I finally updated and I'm tired. I'm literally doing this while getting ready for school. Anyways I should finish getting ready I'll see y'all on the next update.
