A/N
Heyyyy.
Okay, so, my cat went to the vet today because he's been puking non-stop. Turns out he's allergic to the food he's been eating for his entire life and it just now started flaring up. So I spent about $45 on cat food that'll be easy on his little tummy.
Also, tomorrow and Sunday I doubt I'll be on, unless it's very late at night. I have a memorial service for a family member tomorrow and I'm visiting my best friend tomorrow.
Love you all to the moon and back!
-xoxo, Nessa
Y/N POV
I've never thrown up this much in my life. Even after my stomach was completely empty, something would still manage to come out.
"Should I take you to the hospital? This is the fourth time you've thrown up in an hour, baby." Frank asked as he held my hair back.
"It wouldn't be a bad id-" I was cut off by more vomit wanting to escape from my mouth.
"Alright, let me tie your hair up and find something to take for you to puke in. I'd rather not have stinky car seats." He grabbed a hair tie from the bathroom counter and tied my hair back into a loose bun, then left the room. My body shook as more began to come up.
"Let's go, honey." He helped me up from the bathroom floor and handed me a small trash can that was in my bedroom. He grabbed my small crossbody bag, along with his wallet and keys, and helped me out of the door and into the car.
"This sucks." I whimpered. I hate being sick in general, but puking this much was unbearable. The car ride was a solid twenty minutes, which most of was spent dry-heaving.
We finally pulled into the ER entrance parking area and got out as soon as he was parked. My body was terribly weak, so he ended up carrying me most of the way.
"Hi, what can we help you with toda-" The registration lady paused as she saw my condition, "She doesn't look too good. What's going on?"
"She's been throwing up almost non-stop for the past three hours. She can't even stand on her own at this point." Frank answered for me.
"Alright, go take a seat and they'll take you back shortly." She smiled at us and let us go to the waiting area, where I continued to dry-heave.
"Hopefully they don't make us wait too long." Frank mumbled as he held me.
"Y/N L/N?" A voice called out, whom I assumed belonged to a nurse. Frank stood with me still in his arms and carried me through the doors, following the woman in front of us.
The hospital room she had us go into was small, and the stench of bleach and other various cleaners made me begin to gag again. Thankfully, nothing came up that time. I don't want to end up puking on Frank.
Frank laid me down on the bed, then sat in the chair next to me. The nurse left the room, then came back a few seconds later with a gown in her hand.
"I'll let you change into this. I'll come back in about five minutes." She told me, smiling the entire time.
Once she left, Frank stood and helped me undress and redress, then helped me get comfortable.
"I feel like shit." I groaned. "I'm sorry I'm sick."
"Why are you apologizing? It's not your fault, babe." He softly replied as he ran his fingers through my messy hair. "Let me re-tie your hair."
I sat up and let him redo it. As he was gathering my hair, the nurse came back into the room.
"Wow, what a wonderful boyfriend you have. My husband doesn't even open the car door for me." She chuckled. "We're gonna get you connected to some monitors, but I need some information first and a urine sample whenever is possible."
"Alright." I sighed tiredly.
"Okay, have you traveled out of the country lately or been around someone who has?" Girl, my boyfriend is a demon. He's traveled out of here completely.
"Not that I'm aware of, no." I lied, kind of.
"Okay, good. Are you on any medications?" She asked again.
"Birth control and whatever over the counter medication I need." I answered.
"So there's no possibility of pregnancy?" Can demons and humans have babies?
"Highly doubtful." I shrugged.
"Alright. Can you give me a sample now so we don't have to unhook you from everything later?"
"Yeah, sure." The nurse and Frank both helped me out of bed and towards the bathroom, knowing I was too weak to walk on my own. "I should be fine from here, thanks."
After peeing in the cup, which is always difficult and annoying, I washed my hands. As I looked into the mirror, I realized how badly I really do look. Fucking hell.
"Alright, here you go." I handed the nurse the sealed container, which I wrapped in paper towels so my hand washing wouldn't have been useless.
"Your boyfriend will take you back to your bed, I'm going to send this up to the lab." Frank wrapped his arm around my waist and helped me walk back to the room.
"I love you." I randomly spoke as he helped me back into bed.
"I love you too. Let's hope they can get you better, yeah?" I nodded in response. "Uh, you don't think that- that you could be, uh."
"I'm not pregnant, Frank. I don't even think," I paused to lower my voice, "demons and humans can have children together."
"I don't know if that makes me feel better or worse." He snorted. "I mean, if that isn't it, that makes me worry of what it could be. I- I can't lose you."
"You won't, remember? We made a deal. You'll always have me." I grinned, "It's probably just the stomach flu. I used to get it all the time when I was a kid, maybe I just forgot how severe it was."
"Let's hope for that then, I suppose."
