Footsteps echo throughout the empty hallways of a warehouse. The noise brought attention to the maker but they didnt seem to notice as their sprint stayed at a consistent pace.
Soon they weren't running down the hallways but up the stairs, closer and closer to the roof.
As the approached the last steps a scream amits from them and they fall to the ground. Their hands cover their ears as they continue to scream.
Thoughts swirled throughout their mind, it was like they were fighting to get out of somewhere, trapped.
They pull themselves up, seeming in pain, a light had changed in their eyes and they seemed alive again, unlike the cold, dead eyes they had not more than 5 minutes prior.
The person stumbled over to the edge, and closed their eyes. As they were about to fall they heard a loud snap and someone grabbed their arm.
"Dont jump" The person says. "We know what happened. We know you didn't mean it. Its okay."
Their eyes met, they knew that even though it was all over and it was "okay" that it wasnt really.
"What I did was wrong" A monotone voice came from the person that stood next to the rail. "Tell Jay that I'm sorry and tell Simon that I love them but I've got to leave, I was one of the people that lead this whole thing."
"Please" The person says as they step closer, their arm still holding them but their grip getting tighter. "You dont have to leave"
The person knew what was going to happen and closed their eyes.
"I love you" They say as they snap their fingers. The world seemed to stop, the others grip stayed firm but they could just move out of it.
They stand, the world still around them, at the edge of the building. Their eyes as they hold out their arms and face the sky.
"I'm sorry" they whisper as they snap again and start to fall.
