My heart ached. I couldn't get the image of my dying sister out of my head, I couldn't even move or open my eyes. Hushed voices spoke around me, but they sounded so far away. Moving my fingers I try my best to bring my hands to my face, only to be stopped by metal wrapped around my wrists. The voices stopped, most likely watching me, waiting for my next movement. Anxiety gripped onto my chest, coiling its cold fingers around my lungs causing my breathing to become strained. I tugged harder on my restraints, still unable to open my eyes, my body shook with fear. I let out small grunts as I thrashed around, the voices coming closer, they seemed to be attempting to calm me. No matter how soothing the voice sounded my mind kept racing, my nails dug deep into my palms, the warm feeling of those blue flames enveloped my fists once again.
"Is the collar not working! How is she still able to use her powers!" A deep voice sounded above me, reminding me of my father's booming one.
Prying my eyes open I wait silently for my vision to clear, I'm met with covered ones staring back at me. Squinting up at the figure, my body relaxes, the warm flames dissipate along with my nerves. Although I was still strapped to this table of sorts, I allowed myself to relax, the person staring down at me watched as I blinked curiously back at him. We both gazed at each other, ignoring the other movement and sound happening around us, after a minute or so I opened my mouth only to choke on my unspoken words. My mouth was dry, my throat sore and itchy, feeling as if I've been screaming for hours. The male disappeared from above, only to come back seconds later with a glass in hand, moving toward my wrists ready to remove the restraints.
"What do you think you're doing?" his voice was harsh, moving closer to us as he spoke.
"She's thirsty! The least we could do is give her some water."
The larger male lightly moved him back, he then turned towards me, I was met with a harsh stare. His broad stature loomed over me, 'Batman. Oh God, he's fucking terrifying.' My mind quickly went over the events that occurred earlier, I glance over the other male, ruling him out to be Red Robin, I sighed tiredly.
Meeting Batman's eyes once again I clear my throat, "Um... A-Am I in trouble or something?" I immediately cringed at my choice of words, wanting to punch myself in the face for sounding so dumb.
I heard a quiet chuckle come from behind me, turning towards the sound I quickly snapped my head back towards the man dressed in black, "How do you know Nightwing and Red Hood's names?"
"..."
My mind was drawing a blank, I was so scared of saying the wrong thing. 'If j keep quiet would they let me g- No, they'd probably beat my answers out of me.'
