My name is Kaia. I just moved here from the South. Meeting the school's resident mean girls was terrifying. A group of girls in dresses, tops and skirts paired with heels walked up. They each had a matching smirk and dark look on their drop dead gorgeous faces. "I'm Azula." The lead raven-haired girl said. "Korra." A dark-skinned brunette followed. "Asami." Another raven-haired girl answered. A second brunette with pale skin was next. "Jinora." Three pale-skinned girls all said their names. "Kuvira." Mai." "Ty Lee." The one after her was a dark-skinned brunette. "Katara." Followed by an Auburn-haired girl. 'Suki."

"We'd like for you to join us, a part of our little group. Yes or no?" I hesitated before taking Azula's hand. "Yes." Mai smirked, walking to Azula's side. "To be one of us, you gotta dress like us, walk like us, talk like us. Got it?" Azula asked me.
I nod, swallowing nervously. To my surprise, I easily slip into the mean girl lifestyle. I had cemented myself as a part of Azula's group.

As time passed, I realised I was slowly taking over Azula's role as leader, replacing Korra with Mai. When my brother starting showing up in the hallways, I was surprised to see him. Years had gone by since we last saw each other. Jinora was dating Kai, one of the school's bad boys. Mai was dating her best friend's brother, Zuko, the second bad boy. Katara was dating Aang, another bad boy. Me, Ty Lee, Korra, Asami, Toph and Azula were all single. Or so I thought. I didn't miss the looks Korra and Asami sent each other, hands brushing occasionally. Suki, another member of our group, was dating Sokka, Katara's brother.

So I told Azula. "Azula! Hey, we need to talk." I pull her aside. "I think Korra's dating Asami." She looks at me quizzically. "The looks they send each other, the way their hands brush." A dark look crosses her face. "Let's go find out." I follow her down the hallway, cornering the two. Lunch hour had only just started, so we were free.

'Group meeting outside now.'
My phone buzzed, as did the other members of our group. Five minutes later we were all outside. Azula crossed her arms. "Is it it true?" She demanded of Korra. "Is what true?" Asami asked. "I heard from a trusted source that someone believes you're dating Korra, Asami. Is it true?" Azula snarls.

Both girls pale. They look at each other, before nodding. "Yes." Korra answers. A gentle smile crosses Azula's face. "I'm happy for you." She tells them.

A small group of bad boys stood in the corner. Mako, his brother Bolin, Kai, Aang, Zuko, Jet and Sokka, Katara's brother.

When Jinora got home, she was told to start packing her things as her family were moving. Hurrying round her room throwing stuff into boxes she then sealed and put by the door. Ten minutes later she was done. Realising she'd be leaving her friends behind she sent a message.

'Mean girls meeting stat'

Two minutes later the girls were gathered at the local park. "I'm moving away." Jinora said. They all hugged her and said their goodbyes. Walking back over to the car, Jinora climbed in and her family were off, driving away. "What are we gonna do now? Jinora's gone. Kai's gonna freak when he finds out his girlfriend is halfway across the country." Korra said.

"We tell him on Monday." I say.  After Jinora had persuaded her family to let her stay with Su and Bataar in Zaofu, she returned to school as a member of their group. Kai missed her desperately, barely leaving her side except for classes.
