Chapter 2

Thalia
I flickered my eyes as the sunlight rose at its peak. I then took a side toss assuming that I am on my bed. Right when I was about to stretch my arm I noticed that my bed became bigger.

I looked at the surroundings and that's when it hit me. I can't believe that I almost forgot about what happened yesterday. I quickly went up on my feet and rushed to the front door, only to be greeted by my father.

"Good morning Thalia. I see that you have regained your strength and consciousness." My father said as he greeted me with a smile on his face.

I smiled as I was unaware of what to say to him.

"Before I introduce you to everyone, my maids will help you get ready." He replied as the two maids approached me.

I was about to decline knowing na hindi ko naman kailangan ang ganitong klaseng treatment. Pero wala na akong magagawa. They dragged me inside of my room before I could protest.
It took them almost thirty minutes bago kami matapos.

Antahimik nilang dalawa promise. I wanted to befriend them nang makita ko yung blade sa may hita nila. I gasped at the sight. It made me question kung ano ba ang ginawa nung tatay ko simula nung nawala na lang siya na parang bula.

"Miss ayos ka lang ba?" Ani ni ateng medyo blonde yung hair. I guess I stared at the blade too much without realizing that I zoned out.

"I-im fine." Sagot ko sakanya.

"If you have questions regarding the blade in our thighs. That's because we are assassins." Naka poker face na sabi sakin nung naka ponytail na babae.
Halos mapamura ako sa narinig ko.

"Hazel ano ba?! You weren't suppose to tell her hangat hindi pa sila naguusap ng tatay niya hindi ba!" Sigaw nung babaeng medyo blonde yung buhok sa naka ponytail na girl.

"Tell me. Mas mabuti pang sabihin nyo na agad saakin ng diretso para namn maihanda ko ang sarili ko." Seryoso kong sabi sakanilang dalawa. They were hesitating at first pero sinabi din naman nila.

Nagpakilala silang dalawa saakin.
Yung naka ponytail. Her name is Hazel at yung medyo blonde yung hair naman ay Sierra. They both work for my father as skilled assassins. Unfortunately my dad is a Mafia Boss at hindi lang yun. He is the CEO of a well known company. Yung kompanya kung saan ako nag part time job bago nila ako kidnapin.

No wonder I got kidnapped. I was already in his territory. I was beyond hysterical when his maids told me everything. Pero kailangan kong manatiling kalmado. I still have to meet with him.

Nang matapos nila akong bihisan ay agad kaming nagtungo sa dining area kung saan nag hihintay yung tatay ko.
I gulped when I saw him across the long table. He ushered me sit beside him. Dahan dahan naman akong naglakad papunta sa upuan ko. Sh*t. Muntik pa akong madapa sa sobrang takot.

"Kumain ka na Thalia." Nakangiti niyang sabi sakin. I can't keep this up.
Not when his showing me that fatherly smile of his na para bang napaka inosente niya.

"Totoo ba? Totoo ba na isa kang Mafia Boss?" I asked him almost in a high pitched voice.

Everything went silent for a second. I was so scared of what he would do to me after raising my voice. He lifted his hand making me tremble in fear. Lahat na ata ng scene na pedeng mangyari ay nag play na sa utak ko. Sino ba namang hindi matatakot pagkatapos mong malaman na yung tatay mo pala ay isang Mafia?

Inihanda ko na ang sarili ko sa sakit na pweding maramdaman ng katawan ko. I shielded my face with my arms unaware of what he will do to me. Pero to my surprise, it wasn't pain he inflicted on me but warmth. I opened my eyes as he was gently patting my head.

"I'm sorry anak. I didn't mean to hide things from you and to your mother. I did it to protect you. Kaya lang naman ako umalis twenty years ago dahil ayaw kong madamay kayo nang mama mo sa panganib na naka abang sakin. Believe when I say that I'm sorry. I traded everything for your safety without knowing the pain and agony you've been through. But I'm here now baby. I won't let anyone lay even a finger on my precious daughter. I will do everything to protect you alang alang sa mama mo." Pagpapaliwanag ni papa sakin. I cried habang sinasabi niya yun sa harap ko.

Who knew that he endured so much para lang sa ikabubuti namin ni mama. Nalulungkot lang ako kasi nung nag aagaw buhay si mama he wasn't there to say good bye to her. He didn't even have the opportunity of seeing her face one last time before she went away.
Agad akong tumayo sa kinauupuan ko at niyakap si papa ng sobrang higpit.

"I'm sorry if I ever doubted you Papa. Gusto ko lang malaman mo na miss na miss ka namin ni Mama and that she loves you very much. Ni minsan pa hindi nag tanim ng galit si mama sayo. She always told me that you had a reason kung bakit bigla ka na lang nawala and that I shouldn't be angry with you. She loved you so much Papa. I'm sorry that you didn't have the opportunity to see her one last time." I told him as I cried on his shoulder.

"Shuush now Anak. I visited your mother bago pa man siya nagpaalam. I did everything to persuade her para lang maipagamot ko siya but she did her best to decline my offer. She said that it was her time. Ituon ko na lang daw ang attention ko sayo. Her last wish was that you would be left in my care bago siya magpaalam." Mas lalo akong humagulgol sa narinig ko.

Why didn't she take her husband's offer. Andito pa sana siya ngayon if only she accepted it. Nakakainis ka mama. Bat moko iniwan ng basta basta.
You promised that you'd stay hangang sa mabigyan ko kayo ng apo ni papa.
You promised.....

"Tahan na anak. Andito na ako ngayon. Tutuparin natin ang pangako natin sa mama mo." Ani ni papa na para bang pinapakalma ako.

I nodded my head as I wipe the tears that cascaded on my cheeks.
I felt like a huge thorn was lifted off my chest and it felt really good.
I knew that, that talk was all I needed to ease the tension between me and my father.

As soon us we settled down we hurriedly ate our breakfast to catch up with each other. Father told me that after we finished eating ay ipapakilala niya daw saakin ang body guard ko. I laughed at the thought of having one. I mean. He isn't serious right?
Over naman na ata yung may dalawa ka nga na maids tapos highly skilled assassins pa and now this?
A bodyguard?!
