Chapter 7

Thalia
"Hi. You're Thalia right? Mind if I join you?" A girl with a tray full of foods asked.

"Yeah sure. Go ahead." I replied with a smile.

Asa canteen kami ngayon guys. Kala ko pa naman exciting yung magiging first day ko. Di naman pala. It seems that yung first day of school namin is dedicated to the students for them to get to know each other.

"I'm Elaine by the way. About as nangyari kaninang umaga. Wag mo na alalahanin. They are just jealous because you're a Miller." Napatingin ako sa babae sa harapan ko na sobrang busy sa pag kain niya.
"Nice to meet you Elaine. I dont really mind. Masasanay din ako. Pero ganun ba talaga ka big deal yung pagiging Miller ko?" Tanong ko kay Elaine.

"Of course! Hindi mo ba alam na si Mr. Miller ang Founder nutong school natin?" Medyo na shock ako sa sinabi niya. Syempre walang alam yung ate nyo tungkol sa info na toh. "This school is specifically built for us na mayayaman at mga anak ng well known Mafia bosses." Dagdag pa niya.

Halos natameme ako sa narinig ko eh. I thought that this was just some training ground. I never knew na pang assassin pala yung school na toh. I'm so pakin clueless. "Alis na tayo Lia. Baka ma late pa tayo." Ani ni Elaine habang inaayos yung uniform niya.
Agad naman akong napatingin sa wristwatch ko at nakita na 5 minutes na kang pala ang matitirang oras para mag bell.

I grabbed my phone at nag message ako kay Leander na mauuna na lang ako sa classroom. Speaking of Leander asan na kaya yun. Ang sabi niya kasi saakin mag c-cr lang daw siya.
Anyway magkikita din naman kami mamaya kaya gora na tayo.

Leander

"Let me out you asshole!!" Sigaw nung babae na ni lock ko sa cr. Ow and if your asking kung sino yung babae na kinulong ko. Siya lang naman yung nagpahiya kay Thalia kanina.

"Lalabas ka lang jan pag natutunan mo na yung pwesto mo." Mariin kong sagot sakanya. "You will pay for this! Isusumbong kita sa daddy ko!" Sigaw niya sakin pabalik. "Try me." Cold kong sagot sakanya.

*ting*

I grabbed my phone nang marinig kong tumonug ito. It seems that namimiss na ako ni Thalia. Kailangan ko na din pumunta sa classroom. Three minutes na lang bago mag bell. "Please let me out! Promise hindi ko na ulit uulitin yung ginawa ko kanina." I almost forgot. Anjan pa pala siya sa loob.

I opened the door at pinalabas ko siya.
Mukha na siyang zombie. Her mascara is all over her face. Nakakatakot. Buti na lang hindi nagsusuot ng ganyan si Thalia. "Salamat." Ani niya na aakmang yayakapin sana ako. "Get away from me kung ayaw mong ikulong kita pabalik sa banyo." Pagbabanta ko sakanya bago siya kumaripas ng takbo.

Agad naman akong nagtungo sa classroom namin. Considering that I only have two minutes bago ako malate.

Nang makarating ako sa classroom namin ay sakto lang din para tumonug yung bell. My eyes then roamed to find Thalia. Nang makita ko siya sa backseat ay agad ko siyang pinuntahan. She so was busy chatting with a girl that she didn't even notice na andito na ako.
God. This woman. First day of class and she already made a friend and an enemy.

I took a seat next to her at dun niya lang na notice yung presence ko. "What took you so long?" Naka kunot noo niya tanong. "Next time isasama kita para malaman mo kung bakit." Naka ngisi kong sagot sakanya na ikinapula ng mukha niya. "Gago ka ba?! Why would I even want to accompany you habang nag c-cr ka? Sapakin kita jan eh." Bulyaw niya sakin. I laughed. I find it funny when I tease her.

Her expressions makes me feel less of a killer. When I'm with her mas nagiging tao ako. She's like a pill. She makes your demons go away. "By the way this is a Elaine." Ani niya while gesturing me to shake the girls hand. "Nice to meet you Elaine. I'm Leander. Thalia's personal bodyguard." Pagpapakilala ko while shaking Elaine's hand and emphasising the word bodyguard.

It was meant to scare her kaso iba ata yung maging effect eh. I've never heard a girl squeal before and I'm never wanting to hear it again. Nakakabingi.
"Omg. So totoo nga. Kyaaahhhh. I want to have a personal bodyguard as well!" Hyper na sagot ni Elaine. Anong klaseng babae ba toh? Microphone?
Ang ingay eh.

"Good morning class. I am Mr. Roswell and I will be your Ethics Professor." Napatingin kaming lahat sa teacher namin. I heard a few groans nang marinig nila yung Ethics. Can't really blame them. I hate Ethics as well. Para sakin it's a boring class. Well any class that involves academics.

I looked at Thalia for validation na parehas kami ng iniisip. Although hindi yun yung nakita ko. Her eyes were like shining. Muntik ko ng makalimutan. She loves this kinds of subjects nga pala. "Can somebody tell me what Ethics is?" Tanong ni sir. I saw Shaira raising her hand before answering.
"Ethics, or moral philosophy, is a branch of philosophy that involves systematizing, defending, and recommending concepts of right and wrong conduct." Sagot ni Shaira na umani ng masigabong palakpak.

"Exactly. Now can somebody tell me the importance of Ethics in our daily lives?"Pangalawang tanong ni sir. This time si Thalia na ang nag salita.

"Ethics is a requirement for human life. It is our means of deciding a course of action. Without it, our actions would be random and aimless. There would be no way to work towards a goal because there would be no way to pick between a limitless number of goals. Even with an ethical standard, we may be unable to pursue our goals with the possibility of success. To the degree which a rational ethical standard is taken, we are able to correctly organize our goals and actions to accomplish our most important values. Any flaw in our ethics will reduce our ability to be successful in our endeavors."

Everyone was silent for a second when our professor started clapping his hand.
"Hindi ko na ata kailangan mag turo. It seems that this young lady over here already knows everything about our subject." Professor Roswell said with an amazed look on his face.
Although that's not the case for all of us.
Hindi man yun marinig ng Professor namin pero dito sa likod. Rinig na rinig ko yung mga murmurs nila saying that Thalia is a nerd.

I quickly covered her ears nang makaupo na siya. "You don't need to hear any of this." Nagaalala kong tugon sakanya. "Ano ka ba Leander. It's okay. I don't mind at all if they call me Nerd or Fat. Totoo naman eh." Malungkot niyang sagot saakin.
If only I could shut all their mouths para lang manahimik sila gagawin ko.

*Bogsh*

I heard a loud smack on the table coming from the guy who introduced himself as Kier a while ago. "Can you all shut up!" Iritadong sabi nito. In an instant everyone was silent. Saka naman tumayo si Shaira. "Please stop calling my sister names! She doesn't deserve any of this!" Ani naman ni Shaira. Tss. Pabida masyado.

But it worked. Buti na lang wala na yung Proff namin. Baka nagkagulo pa.
One thing is for sure. Andaming pa bida sa school na toh.
