In the middle of an antique room, there was a portrait of a beautiful young woman. An old man stared at it as if saying something to the painting. He tried to remember something, but his head only played short moments of his youth. Then there was a knock on the door.
A pretty little boy with a basket full of accessories walked towards him.
"Do you wish to see her again?" The old man nodded.
"Are you willing to challenge the fate that the gods have put upon you?" The old man replied with a hoarse sound.
"Then go to the nearest river where the water perfectly illuminates the moon and jump with her face in mind." The boy showed him a silver bracelet, then vanished.
The moon rose, and the old man arrived at a bridge. He took a step onto the railings and jumped to the center of the reflected moon. He did not mind drowning, for his thoughts were focused on the woman in the painting.
As his consciousness began to fade, he begged for another life.
