After 60 years, Ambrosio has become a renowned painter in Europe. His most popular composition, the portrait of his beautiful lover, hangs at the center of his antique room. He adores it and even talks to it as if she were alive. He tries to remember moments in his youth, his mind played short memories of his blurry past. Then, there was a knock on the door.
A pretty little boy with a basket full of accessories walks toward him.
"Do you wish to see her again?" The old man nods.
"Are you willing to challenge the fate that the gods have put upon you?" The old man answers with a hoarse sound.
"Then go to the nearest river where the water perfectly illuminates the moon, and jump with her face in mind." The boy gives him a silver bracelet, then vanished.
The night came and the old man arrived at a bridge. He takes a step onto the railings and jumps to the center of the reflected moon. He did not mind drowning, for his thoughts were focused on the woman in the painting.
As his consciousness fades, he wishes for death.
