Zane's POV

"Sometimes you will
never know the value
of a moment,
until it becomes
a memory"

I felt bad, I had left so dramatically the other day, my mother carried me off in a frenzy, she had always been extremely over-dramatic whenever Garroth, Vlyad or me got hurt. My eye hurt, really badly.

But I knew that it was an accident. I had to wear an eyepatch for the next few weeks until it healed up.

We started school again today, and Nana was joining our class, Aphmau and I were super excited about her arrival. Garroth was in the year above us in school so we'd go and see him at break time.

The hues from the shining sun rays which shone through my bedroom window awoke me, conveniently 1 minute before my alarm was supposed to set off. I sighed, and sluggishly dragged myself towards my mirror.

I had a new hair style to hide my eye, I've found that i'm actually quite self conscious about it.

Since I have a long fringe I decided to move my parting to the lower, right side of my head, covering my left eye fully.

My favourite hoodie was hanging up on the outside of my wardrobe door, it was black and grey striped, with a zip up the front. My outfits were always simple.

We had our normal school uniforms that we have to wear, but others like to wear outer clothes as well, like me.

Garroth let himself into my room and looked at me sincerely, for some reason my bad moods were always centred around Garroth.

His face just seemed to annoy me.

I don't understand why I felt like this towards him, it confuses me, a lot. After the accident my feelings towards him became extremely negative, I had always had bad moods but never towards Garroth, until now at least..

Now the only people who don't anger me are Aphmau and Nana.

I rolled my eyes at Garroth and shoved past him. Retrieving my school bag from the passage way and eating a piece of toast which was on the table.

Our mother was waiting by the door, keys in hand waiting for us to be ready for school. I was ready before Garroth, as he spends forever doing his hair in the bathroom mirror.

Once he finally decended the stairs, I watched as he opened the door for me and my mother, doing a bow as we walked out of the door. I scoffed as I went passed him, glaring at him with my uncovered eye.

He decided to ignore me and follow us out the door. We climbed into our mothers car, she started up the engine as we put our seatbelts on. Looking out of the car window I seen Nana across the road with a few of her siblings getting into her mothers car. She was smiling, laughing, her morning looked to be going great.

When we finally arrived at school. Garroth said goodbye to our mother and ran to his group of friends. I was a loner in school, my only friend was Aphmau, and she was always late.
