★ Zane's POV ★

"We all have issues, but some
of us have problems that
can't be solved"

After school Nana was coming to my house. I was unsure of what she was talking about, so I wanted to look further into it. Nana was my friend, and I wanted to help her in any way I can.

As the school day ended, the bell rung and echoed through the school halls. Nana, Aphmau and I walked out into the yard together in search of our parents.

Aphmau's mother was always working at this time of the day so my mother took her home instead. But since today we were going to spend the day together, Aphmau would stay at our house instead.

Nana's mother stood next to mine, waving at her as we exited the doors. I watched as Nana ran up to her mother. "Mam! Can I spend the day at Zane's house when we get home? Pweaseeeeee!!" She begged.

"Of course Nana dear." The lady bent down and stroked Nana's head. "But, lets get you home first so that you can change." She smiled. Nana nodded in response.

"Yay! Kawaii~Chan gets to go to Zane~Kun's house!!" She giggled. Her mother tilted her head in confusion.

"Kawaii~Chan? Who's that..?" She spoke. I watched as Nana explained who 'She' was to her mother. Her face changed from confusion to concern.

"Uhm, Zianna. Nana will be a little bit late, I have to.. Take her somewhere first." She said to my mother.

Where was she going? Shopping? The park? Dentist? Maybe a Doctor..?

Nana's mother lead her to the car. Once they got in, it started up with a roaring noise. I yearned to be with her. To be by Nana's side. I hope she'll be okay..

♡ Nana's POV ♡

My mam had a strange expression on her face. The last time I had seen her look this way was when my sister, Nadia, had come down with a really bad cold.

What was wrong?

"Nana, were going to go and see a doctor, okay sweetie?"

"Okay momma. But why?" I questioned.

"Before, you told me about Kawaii~Chan, and you said that she wasn't meant to be there. Do you remember that?" I nodded in response.

"Well, I think that you are a, very, special girl Nana. But, some people would see Kawaii~Chan as being different, were going to talk to the doctor and see if she is real, or apart of your imagination." The smile she was showing is kind. I love her smile, it always made me happy.

On our way to the doctors, going along winding roads, passing many houses and watching as the trees swayed in the winter wind, I wondered about what Kawaii~Chan actually was. Real, or apart of my imagination?

We pulled up into a car park which was filled with different types of vehicles. There was a large, white building which towered over us. The area was very busy, many people continuously came in and out of the main doors.

My mother took me by my hand and led be inside. She had a very long conversation with the receptionist, I didn't understand anything they were talking about, half of the words they used I hadn't learned yet.

We were pointed in the direction of a room which said 'Meltal Health Clinic', my mother thanked the lady as we sat idly inside the room, awaiting for someone to come and get us.

It seemed as though forever had went by. I looked around the room for something to entertain me. I spotted a red box on the other side of the room with toys in it, so I quickly zoomed over to the box. Blissfully playing with all of the interesting toys, until a tall, thin man came out of a door which was previously closed.

"Nana Ashida?" He announced. I stood up.

"Me, me, me!" I jumped, running to my mother who took me inside of the room with the tall man.

We sat on sleek, white chairs which were placed against a VERY plain wall. In fact, the entire room was completely boring, apart from a computer and a few benches. Nothing much was in the room.

My mother seemed to be babbling nonsense to the doctor, my eyes wandered around the room, I wasn't paying attention to their conversation, that is, until someone said my name.

"Nana?"

"Huh?" I tuned my attention to the doctor. He smiled at me.

"Hi Nana, i'm Doctor Kansas, today im are going to ask you a few questions. Is that okay?" I nodded at his question, acting quite timid towards the man. "Okay, well. Can you tell me a few things about yourself?" He started.

"Uhm.. Well, i'm a Mei'fwa, I like the colour pink, oh! And I really enjoy baking."

"Do you have any friends?" He asked.

"Mhm! Three!" I said enthusiastically

"Wow that's wonderful! And what about Kawaii~Chan. Do you know much about her?"

His question confused me slightly. "Huh? But.. Kawaii~Chan's name is Kawaii~Chan."

That's my name.. Right..?

"Hmm.. Okay." He said as he scribbled something down in his notebook. "Well.. Kawaii~Chan, is there anything else about you that you'd like to share?"

"Well.. Kawaii~Chan really likes dressing up, mainly as a magical girl!! She really enjoys that.. Also playing in the snow! She likes helping Zane~Kun with his snow fortress!"

The doctor continued writing, but closed his book after a few seconds. "If you could both wait in the waiting room for a few moments that would be wonderful." He said, walking around to the door, opening it for us.

We left the room. My mother sighed as she looked to the floor. "Momma..? Did I do something wrong..?

"Of course not sweetie.." She smiled but looked away once the doctor came back outside. "Go sit down hunny.." She said.

"I'm sorry Mrs Ashida, but, I've confirmed that your daughter unfortunately has been diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder." My mother sighed. "For now on, refrain from calling her 'Nana' when she is in Kawaii~Chan's mind set, otherwise you will confuse her further. I expect that she will gain better understanding of her alter as she grows older" The doctor spoke.

"Older? How long exactly do
you think?!" She raised her voice slightly. The waiting room went silent at her outburst, people stared at her in confusion. She decided to ignore their judgemental stares, turning her attention back to the doctor. "My apologises.. I will do my best.." She said, turning around and looking at me to
follow her.

We left the doctors. And returned to our car.

The ride home was quiet and nerve wracking. I rarely felt anxious, but this was one of these moments.

I wonder how many more moments I would have like this?
