Alex's POV

I ran a hand through my hair as Tay and I reached the venue.

"What's wrong?" Tay questioned.

"Nothing," I lied.

"Come on, Alex. I know something's wrong. What is it?" She wrapped her arm my waist and looked up at me.

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair before answering her. "I think we should break up."

Tay looked startled and unwrapped her arm from my waist.

"What?"

"Um, I think we should break up."

"It's Nicole isn't it?"

"Maybe," I confessed. I saw Tay's face turn into pure shock.

"Oh, so you were just using me? To get Nicole back?"

I didn't answer. Suddenly Cameron came walking into the venue smiling and humming.

"What's up with you?" Tay asked, pissed off. Probably from me.

"I have a date tonight," he said.

"With who?"

"Nicole."

------

"Why are we doing this?" Jack asked, not  comfortable with the idea.

"Look I'm sorry Jack, we have too."

"You mean you have too?"

"Let's all just shut up and get this over with," Rian spoke. We were all dressed in black, wearing black beanies, Rian, Jack and I. Zack wanted to go to the gym rather than go spying.

"Do you see her?" I asked. If you haven't guessed yet, we were spying on Cameron and Nicole. Apparently they have a date. And no, I'm not jealous. We were crouching down behind a fake plant in the restaurant.

"There she is!" Rian spoke. We all turned toward the entrance of the resturant. Nicole was wearing a black dress, her hair was slightly dyed making it look a bit brighter. Her makeup was natural. Not too much and not too little. I got to say, she looked pretty amazing.

"Alex, you there?" Jack waved a hand in front of my face, causing me to come out of my daydream. I slapped his hand away.

"Yeah, I'm here."

"Nicole looks hot," Rian said causing me to glare at him.

"You're not dating her," he said.

"But you're dating Cassadee so you can't have her."

We spotted Cameron from the corner of the restaurant and waved her over.

"Hey," he said, when she appoarched him.

"Hey," she said, smiling.

"You look amazing."

"Thanks you too."

Cameron was wearing an average tshirt and jeans. You could tell he hasn't been on a date in a long time.

"Do you want to eat now or later?"

"It doesn't really matter."

"Okay, so I'll guess we'll eat now."

They both sat down, Nicole facing me while Cameron was facing the other way, away from us.

"So where are you from?" Cameron asked.

"Baltimore," Nicole responded.

"Oh nice, Alex is from there right?"

I saw Nicole's face harden a bit.

"Um yeah."

"Cool, I'm from Poughkeepsie, New York."

Nicole nodded and puffed up her cheeks a bit. She looked cute when she did that.

"I'm so bored," Rian whined.

"Yeah, I am too." Jack agreed.

"Would you guys stop acting like a bunch of pussy's? I can't hear them talk."

"Yep, he still loves her," Rian said. I internally rolled my eyes and returned back to the date. A waiter was by their table, probably taking their orders.

"What would you like tonight?" the waiter asked.

"Some crab soup, please," Cameron said. The waiter looked to Nicole waiting for her order. Her eyes scanned over the menu in front of her. She crinkled her nose a bit.

"Um, I'll have some crab soup too."

Nicole wasn't into fancy restaurants. I know she'd be more comfortable going paint balling then being in a posh restaurant. The waiter wrote down their orders and walked off.

"So what kind of bands do you like?" Cameron asked.

"Paramore, Tonight Alive, you guys, Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, Blink-182, Hey Monday, Green Day, You Me At Six and Simple Plan," Nicole listed.

"Oh cool," Cameron said.

"She likes Pierce The Veil? That's surprising," Jack said.

"Shhh," I shushed him.

"Look this is ridiculous," Rian said, standing up.

"Rian," I spoke but it was too late. She saw.

"Rian?" Nicole asked.

"Crap," Rian whispered. I looked back toward Nicole. Her eyes locked on Rian's and slowly looked down at Jack and I.

 "Jack? Alex?"

"Wassup?" Jack nervously laughed. Nicole's face turned bright red. Cameron turned and looked at us.

"Whoa, what are you guys doing here?" he asked.

"Apparently spying on us," Nicole said.

"We weren't spying!" Jack said, standing up. "Alex was!"

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"It's true. We had nothing to do with this," Rian said.

"Rian, shut the fuck up."

Rian silenced as Nicole looked at me.

"Why were you spying on us?" Cameron asked.

"He's jealous," Nicole snorted.I felt my cheeks heat up. I stood up now.

"I'm not jealous."

Nicole got up from her seat and made her way across the restaurant to me.

"Please. I've known you for seven years. You don't think I know what makes you jealous. Remember when you and Lisa broke up? And she went out with Seth Rainer? And you got jealous that you literally dragged me to the movies with you so I can pretend to be your date to make her jealous."

I didn't say anything.

"And that one time when I was going on with Wayne. You got jealous because he was captain of the football team."

I was still slient.

"Exactly." She turned away from me and toward the exit of the restaurant.

"Where are you going?" Cameron asked.

"Home. Alex here ruined this night for me. Goodnight."
