I finish cutting the sandwiches, as I gently place them on a wooden board. I spin around and place it on the island, I grab the glasses of water and milk and place it next to it. The three kids run up, placing their behinds on the high chairs. I chuckle as they each slide a glass to them, taking one of the halves of the sandwiches. As the small boy takes a bite, the kids finally speak up.

"Ms. Y/N can you tell us a story?" The girl asks, while her older brother chimes in.

"Please! We want to hear a story with your funny voice." I laugh and lean on the counter.

"My accent isn't funny, I'm from London, I could easily say that your accent is funny since it's different." I raise my brows and watch them do silent. They look a bit sad, I sigh and stand up straight. "I guess one story couldn't hurt before bed." They all yell with joy. "It was long ago, in a place called Thebes, which was also known as city of the living, it was the home of Imhotep-"

"Imhotep?! That's a weird name!" the youngest states, as the oldest shushes them.

"Well, this Imhotep was very high power, the Pharaoh...they call it a chancellor. This special city was also the birthplace of Anck Su Namum. She was the Pharaoh's mistress--well Girlfriend...." I nervously chuckle, knowing I have to make this story PG. "Since she was his girlfriend, she was meant to stay loyal, not letting any other boy confess feelings or touch her."

"So...no high fives?" The girl asks, I shake my head. "Aw, that's a bit sad."

"It is, isn't it." I playfully frown, and smile making them laugh. "Now, since Anck Su Namum was his girlfriend, she still had feelings for someone else. It was Imhotep, they would love--like one another, even willing to give up life. As it was told, the Pharaoh found out, of course he wasn't happy. Myth states that years..maybe thousands of years later they will meet again, afterlife or not."

I smirk and grab the empty wooden board, I place it in the sink. I needed to end the story there, they're just kids, they shouldn't know the rest just yet. I hear them sulk and complain, I grab their cups as they frown. They hop off the stools and slowly follow me to the living room, as they tug on my arms.

"Could you tell us more?!" The young boy asks.

"Nope, your parents are gonna be home any second." The door unlocks. "Now, they're here." The parents walk in as the children run to them, the dad separates and hands me the cash, we thank one another and say goodbye. I exit and walk towards my car, I don't think it's bad that I babysit on the side.

I get to share stories, especially the ones of my old adventures. I get in my car and drive home, I slam my body onto the bed, feeling like the night went by too quick. I get up and dress for work, I own a Library, since I'll be missing the one in London, I do miss my family but London was getting boring. I headed towards America for a bright start, maybe a different option...but I decided to bring the books to here.

I slowly put books back, taking my time, I get startled hearing the phone ring. I pause from the sudden jump. I sigh and place the books on the cart, I pick up the phone and hear my sister Evelyn on the other line. We talk small talk, same old topics or conversations.

"I'm really glad everything is good in the Americas." I hum as I continue doing my job, until she slowly gets nervous. "Y/N, I have to ask you something and it's important." I roll my eyes, knowing it's probably sibling stuff.

"You call to have a short chat, and now asking something, Evelyn you are really like Jonathan." I chuckles and hear her laugh awkwardly.

"Um, will you join Jonathan and I on a journey..?" I stop placing the book, leaving my arm in mid-air. "Well, not journey--well yes, but I mean it's exploring."

"Evelyn, you are really asking me this?" I state coldly.
