The Mummy | (Rick X Reader)

Chapter Thirteen

"Imhotep? What do you mean?" I look up at him and grab my bags.

"The plagues..."I say while pointing towards the sky. As they come near O'Connell grabs my hand and makes me run with him. 

"Go go!" We run along together and try to escape as the locus surrounds the area. We run into the building and calm down, O'Connell grabs a torch as I dig through my bag. I take out one pistol and strap it to my thigh, while swinging my bags over myself. We continue to explore, we stop when rumbling appears, I look seeing the bugs, the tale of them.

"Sacrabs!" I yell as I run in front.

"Run Y/N run!" O'Connell yells as he follows. We make it to a different room, Jonathan and O'Connell jump to a separate ground as I do. We're separated but across from one another as Eve meets O'Connell. I back up and take out my pistol, leaning against the walk. O'Connell and I keep shooting at the bugs.

I yell as the wall behind me caves in, and I drop my gun. I fall back and see darkness as I do. I drop and grunt as I land hard. I stand up and look over the corner, seeing one of the man from the other group.

"Oh! Mr-Mr. Burns is that right? I glad I found you." I spin him around. "I thought I was alone--" I scream bloody murder when seeing his eyes, they were gone, I back up and spin around seeing a mummy yelling at me. I back myself up to a wall as the mummy comes closer. "Please help me."

"He took my tongue!" Mr. Burns states, as he crawls away. The mummy murmurs something I can't understand. I confusingly try to understand as I finally feel the cold wall hit my back. He murmurs something once more, making me understand one key word.

"Princess?" I say, as I hear footsteps. I turn to O'Connell as he rushes in.

"There you are! Have you been playing hide-and-seek?! Come on, let's get out of here!" I tilt my head towards the mummy as he grabs my arm. "Whoa!!" He screams gripping his shotgun. Jonathan and Eve walk in yelling my name, I see the final group members behind them as well.

The mummy roars at them and back to O'Connell and I, O'Connell yells and blasts him away with his shotgun. He pushes me in front of him to run, and we all do when the mummy is down. We all run while Jonathan and the others yell, we stop seeing the men in black who rushed us on the ship, rifles get pointed at us.

"We told you to leave or you'll die. And you refused. You unleashed the evil that we feared for more than 3,000 years." He states.

"Relax I got it." O'Connell says.

"You can't kill it, it is not from this world." He signals and brings Mr.Burns to his fellow members. "We saved him, now you should leave before he finishes." They all go in the building, hunting Imhotep down.

"I told you, I got it." O'Connell says to the leader.

"Know this, he doesn't eat or sleep. He is bringer of death, he will never stop." He then narrows his eyes to me. "You know, we've heard." I nod and he leaves us, O'Connell looks down on me but I look away.

"Let's get out of here, and I'll explain." We all find our camels and ride away, going back to Cairo. When we arrive we go to our rooms, we clean ourselves up and I change out of my clothes to new ones. 

I put on tan colored shorts that met my belly button and a jacket with a white top underneath, it's cropped and hangs on by my shoulders with slim fabric. I put on white boots and tie my hair up, I strap guns to my thighs and put a pistol. While hiding a few knives inside my cropped jacket. I put my suitcase on the table and open the door seeing a pissed off O'Connell enter. He suddenly grabs my clothes from the bathroom and comes out.

"I thought you didn't fully believe this fairy tale, mojo crap. Shoo!" He states, I pick up the cat from the suitcase and place it gently down.

"I said it was a myth! The tale I knew was true, but this book is something else!" I state taking out the clothes he's putting in my case.

"Well forget it, we're out the door, we are gone." He says shoving the clothes back in the suitcase, I try to keep up.
