The Mummy | (Rick X Reader)

Chapter Twenty-One

(Y/N Point of View)

I slowly open my eyes, feeling my head pound for a few seconds. My eyes focus as I blink rapidly, I try to move my hands seeing them chained up. I look down and see a rat on my bare stomach, I yelp and turn, chucking the rat onto a corpse. I scream, moving my feet, noticing they're chained too. I look seeing a group of skeletons come near me, I scream for O'Connell and Jonathan as they bow. 

Imhotep arrives, I quit my screaming and hear his chant with the skeletons. He grazes my stomach making me repulsed, he moves to the corpse muttering the name. Anck su namun....I scoff, but quickly stop seeing a pool of liquid start moving. It turns into dust and moves over my body, creating a circle as it seeps into the corpse beside me. The corpse moves and screams, making me horrified. 

It turns it's head towards me, screaming bloody murder. I do the same at it, unknowing what to do. I see a blade hover over my body, Imhotep grips it, chanting again. I yell seeing the blade stopping at my stomach.

"I got it Y/N!" I see Jonathan at the top of the stairs, holding the book of Amun-ra.

"Run Jonathan! The book is the only way to kill him! Open it and run!" I yell, Imhotep drops the blade, and slowly makes his way towards him. 

"We need a key!" Eve shouts from behind him.

"In his robes! The key is in his robes! Find the inscription!" I yell, both siblings run as Imhotep gets closer. "Second time dying, at least it's not the first--" I hear a man yell, breaking free one of my chains. "O'Connell!" He fights off the skeletons as I try to pry off my other hand. 

He swings his body over the table killing the others, one climbs on the altar, he punches it off. As he finishes the last one, he does a cool guy look, he lays the sword on his shoulder smirking at me.

"Mummies." He says, I roll my eyes, he then gets pulled to the ground, I yell seeing them climb on him. I would've said that was attractive, but change my mind! 

Another mummies comes at him with a tombstone, walking near as one from below hold him. I look over seeing the blade for the sacrifice on the table. I struggle to reach forward, stretching my body, I take ahold of it and watch as he slices the mummy with the tomb down, I swing the blade hitting the one holding him. I sigh of relief, he gets up releasing me from the table. He lifts me off and embraces me tight. We both nod to each other and hold hands to run, we stop seeing a whole group of armed mummies.

"Palace guards, they also awaken?" They march in line, stopping, then they do a battle posing while inching closer.

"This just keeps getting better and better." O'Connell says while lifting his sword up. I stay behind O'Connell, as we back up.

"Jonathan use the bloody book!" I say, unknowing of what to do.

"You can't be serious..." He cowardly tells me.

"Finish the inscription on the cover idiot! Then you'll be able to control them!" Jonathan takes Eve and runs back. We both back up more, I get turned around seeing Anck su namun alive as a mummy. I yell as she swings her blade at me, the same one from sacrifice.

I dodge and quickly stand back, O'Connell stares at me. I run away knowing I'm screwed without a weapon, I hear O'Connell roar at them, but they roar back, I roll my eyes at his action. He needs to stop doing that, I pass by crates trying to lose her, I stop seeing her blade pierce a crate in front of me. 

"Jonathan hurry up!" I rage, I keep running until I see a moving crate roll in front of me. I slide under and see a sword on the wall. I grab it and spin around seeing her no where near me. I catch my breath as I exhale, hearing silence. I turn to my left to notice her standing right there.
