She stood, shocked at what had just happened, looking around her. Mags (who was helping Finnick at the time) rolled her eyes at the scene, but continued to tie her knots. Everyone stopped what they were doing to watch this commotion, and walked over to the knife practice area. Fights like this were quite common, but it was still exciting to watch for the rest of the tributes. Olympia Porcuis dropped her spear and ran over to watch her brother's fight. Even the district 11 and 12s stopped what they were doing to watch. Seeing the careers fight made the other tributes smile, since they knew even the careers had their grudges, and would probably kill eachother before they killed the rest of the tributes.
Finnick shouted as he threw punches onto his face "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN" As Violet gasped, trying to pull Finnick off of him, but Blaze kicked her away. This made Finnick even more angry.
Finnick and Blaze were equally as strong, so the fight constantly switched from Finnick beating the shit out of Blaze, to Blaze beating the shit out of Finnick. After a minute or so, the guards ran into the room, dragging an angered Finnick off of a badly bruised Blaze. Olympia followed her brother into the medic room, holding on to his arm as she gave Violet an evil glare. Violet was surprised that Finnick broke so many rules for one slap, but part of her was happy that he cared enough to start a fight.
Finnick was dragged into the isolation room by two guards, and Violet tried to follow but felt an arm stopping her.
It was President Snow.
Her eyes slowly rose up to his face as pure fear filled her eyes. She remembered how this man had ruined her whole life, her whole family with just one order. She wondered how one man could be so cruel, but before he had the chance to speak to her she ran off into her room. She never wanted to speak to him again.
Later that night Finnick returned to the room. She saw him walk through the door and ran over and kissed him. She sat him down with a blanket and talked about the events of the evening. Luckily neither Finnick or Blake were seriously harmed, and they gave them both cream which made their bruises go away.
However, for breaking the rules Finnick was bound to get less sponsors he said, as the capitol don't like rebellious tributes. She lay down with him and thanked him for what he did, stroking his forehead telling him he didn't need to do that. He said he just needed to put Blake back in his place, but now he was probably going to get targeted by the careers for it.
But the real problem was the suspicions. The other tributes as well as the people watching started to get suspicious of their 'friendship' because of what Finnick did, and this was a threat to both of them. Finnick had shown signs of weakness, which is what he wanted to avoid before the games but it was too late to turn back now. No one was being fooled by saying they were 'just friends.' Finnick and Violet decided not to become careers for multiple reasons. One being that the careers now saw Finnick as a threat after the fight, and they wouldn't trust him. Another being that Violet knew the careers would eventually turn on eachother, which is what caused the death of her bestfriend the year before.
They settled down and went to sleep, thinking about the day ahead of them.
