*Vivian's P.O.V*
I woke up abruptly to the sounds of footsteps walking by. I blinked slowly as I yawned, stretching out. I felt different now then I had when I was a puppy. Instead of feeling that willing to play with my rope toy and wanting to run around, I felt like I would rather stalk something and catch it. I slid out from underneath the table, looking around as I yawned again.
"Well it's nice to see you again," My mother said as she crouched down and went to pet me. I allowed her to pet me for a bit before hissing at her and turning to bat at her hand. "Well someone's gotten feisty," she said as she pulled her hand back.
"Oh no, don't tell me that's she in kitten space," my aunt said as she walked up. "Kittens are just so bratty," she told my mother. I hissed at her making her look at me. "I will throw water on you, try me," she said making me growl and walk away.
How dare she! Threatening to splash me, an innocent little kitten. I went to the kitchen and looked around before hoisting myself onto the counter. I sat there, looking around before moving across the counter. I paused when I hit the the lever on the faucet which turned the water on some. I stared at the running water and leaned forward sniffing it before sitting back.
I stared at the water before batting at it, hissing when it hit my hand. I growled at it and bit the water with an angry grumble. How dare it touch me! I didn't say that it could do that.
"You can't be on the counter," I heard before I was picked up and set on the floor, looking up to see my mother. I frowned at her and got back on the counter. "I said no Vivian," she told me as she put me back on the floor making me hiss softly. "Hiss all you want but stay off the counter," she told me as she raised an eyebrow. I slunk off in disappointment and waited for her to leave before I followed her, staying close and low to the ground.
Stupid woman thought she could tell me what I can and can not do, I'll show her. No one tells me what to do, that's what I told myself anyways. I stalked her for a bit, grinning when she stopped to talk to one of my distant cousins. I inched forward before suddenly jumping at her legs, hitting them as I wrapped my body around one.
"What on earth are you doing?" my mother asked as she looked down at me, moving to pry me off of her. I hissed loudly at her and batted her hands away while keeping my legs wrapped around her leg. "Vivian get off my leg," she told me making me growl and cling to her leg. I got distracted when a feather danced across the air above me making me let go to get it. I had to let go of her completely and dropped down to catch it. I caught it when it made the fatal mistake of getting close to the floor.
"And that's how you deal with a kitten when they attack you," my aunt said as she pulled the feather up making me bat at it while making a purring noise. I pulled the feather close before letting it go when it tickled my nose making me sneeze. I shook my head I lay down on my stomach watching the feather dance in front of me. I batted at it and finally grew bored of it before looking down.
"Here," one of cousins said as he put some paper down in front of me. "I've seen a lot of kittens that like to rip things up," he told my aunt as I started to claw at the paper, purring as it ripped and shredded underneath my nails. I scattered it around and chased the little bits that blew in the air, making sure they stayed down before going after another.
"Why did she attack me though?" my mother asked as I looked at her.
"Did you stop her from doing something?" my aunt asked making my mother nod.
"I stopped her from being on the counter," she told my aunt who sighed softly and looked at me.
"She's going to want to climb anything and everything when she's in her kitten space. Might want to get a cat tower for her in that pet room you were talking about doing," my aunt said as I crept towards them and batted at her shoes. I frowned when she didn't react and walked off, growling softly.
I walked around, playing with the table cloths and biting them before spitting them out because they tasted bad. I don't know why I kept biting them since I knew they tasted bad but it was fun to do. I frowned when I felt something keep one of the cloths I had batted in place. Where was the fun if they didn't swing back and forth? I growled and bit the cloth tugging on it making it slowly inch towards me.
I paused to catch my breath before going back to tugging. I purred as I slowly got more and more table cloth piling up at my hands. I tugged again quickly, frowning when I saw a pot appear on the edge. I got up on my legs and sniffed at the pot, pawing it curiously before sitting down. I blinked in surprise when the pot suddenly tipped off the table and landed on my right hand making me yowl from shock and pain.
Almost immediately I was surrounded by my family and they were all asking questions, trying to check on me as I pulled my hand close to my chest. I mewled miserably as my hand throbbed from the pain. I hissed at the pot and looked around pitifully meowing at my family. I lay down and roll over onto my back, letting out sad mewls of unhappiness as I stared up at them.
