Bully Effect.

School days are tough, at least for me. No one else seems bothered about the paint job on the notice board made by some kids, the missing sports equipments, the rude words scribbled on the teacher's desk, and of course, Caleb.
Caleb is the school bully. His white skin, black straight hair, clothy white baggy jeans and black tennis shoes standout in the sea of students. And always with him are his cohorts, Zack, Anthony, James, Bradyn, and Aden. Bradyn and Aden are identical twins. Zack is the biggest and of course Caleb's guard dog.
"Hey pipsqueak", Caleb jeered as I walked by on the corridor.
It's been only two weeks since I transferred to Millington High School and I was already on their radar. My parents and I had relocated to Millington after a freak thunderstorm caused a wildfire that burnt our house in California to the ground, after which it promptly went out. My parents freaked out and we moved. By the way my parents are Nigerians.
Mr. Johnson Ade was in college when he met my mom, Priscilla, back in Nigeria and they fell in love, yours truly being the result of the union, before he relocated to the States where I was born, at least that was what I was told.
I hurried on my way in an effort to avoid any trouble but I was double crossed by Zack.
"Feeling shy? Don't you want to play with us?" Caleb said in mock concern.
"I have to get to class right now, so please if you don't mind, get out of my way", I replied with the last courage left in me. There were collective gasps and oh's. I looked around, to see students edging closer to witness an impending beat down. No one really had the courage to stand up to Caleb cause usually you either get beaten up, forced to drink from the toilet, get cafeteria food on your face or any other embarrassing high school pranks played on you. So it's quite a treat to see another victim. Bunch of psychos.
I had to find a way out of this situation. I was just a scrawny looking teen and if I got into a fight, I'll be beaten to pulp.
" What did you say?" Caleb demanded, the smile vanishing from his face as they inched closer.
" Hey Mr. Bradley, hope you aren't causing any trouble over there?" Principal Watson called from across the corridor. I had never been happier to hear the pot bellied Principal's voice which had just saved my hide.
"Nothing Sir, we're good", he replied, eyeing me. With a sly smile on his face, he mouthed, "cafeteria, lunch break", you're dead". Then he signaled his comrades and they left. I stood there not sure what to do. There's going to be trouble and I didn't how to face it.
