TW- Talk of Suicide

"Ugh, tired." Michael said as Jeremy's alarm went off. Jeremy laughed a bit.

"Yeah, yeah, me too, but ya gotta get up." He said. Michael sighed, yanking the blankets off him and Jeremy. "Cold."

"Yeah, but it helps us wake up." Michael said. He sat up and grabbed his bookbag. "I'm gon' go change." He said. He walked to the bathroom, seeing that it was shut. That didn't happen. He knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Was heard. It was kind of quiet.

"Michael."

"I'll be out in a second!" Again, quiet. The door opened and Evan walked out. He was already ready, his hair damp, seemingly from the shower. "S-Sorry."

"It's all good. You gotta do what you gotta do." He said before walking into the bathroom.

Jeremy was getting changed in his own room. He was combing his hair when there was a knock at the door before it opened.

"Hey-- Oh, you're already awake!" Heidi said happily. Jeremy nodded.

"Yep."

"I usually wake up Evan, which I did, but I forgot that I now have another child to care for." She said.

"I have an alarm clock. And a Micheal." He said with a small laugh. Heidi nodded.

"Right, of course. Sorry." Jeremy gave a kind smile.

"It's fine, Heidi." He said. Heidi shut the door and Jeremy got back to getting ready. He shoved a couple Humiliation Sheets into his bag before leaving the room. He got downstairs, seeing Michael and Evan already ready.

"Bus will arrive soon. Unless you want to walk instead." Michael said. Jeremy shook his head.

"No, Christine takes our bus." Michael nodded.

"Right. She does." He said. His mood totally shifted. Michael shoved his hands in his pockets before realising something. "Shit! Do you--" Jeremy gave Michael a $5 bill. "Thanks, dude."

"You're welcome. Have fun freezing your brain." Michael rolled his eyes and put the bill in his pocket.

"Yeah, whatever."

As soon as Evan entered the school yard, he was approached by Connor.

"Hey." He said.

"O-Oh. H-Hey." Evan said nervously, not wanting to get yelled at by Connor again.

"I, uh... I just wanted to apologise for the other day." Connor reached into his pocket and gave Evan a folded paper. "This is that letter thing." He said.

"O-Oh. Thanks." He said, taking the paper. "I-I'm sorry that you--"

"No, it's fine. It doesn't matter. I guess I was just--"

"Connor! Get your ass over here, stop torturing that poor boy!" Zoe yelled. Connor groaned.

"I don't get how you like her." He said with a small laugh. Evan laughed nervously.

Michael and Jeremy got off the bus, Christine holding Jeremy's hand.

"You look happy." Michael said, noticing the small smile on Evan's face.

"W-What? Do I?" He asked, forcing his smile down.

"Yeah, why?" Jeremy said. Christine laughed.
