{Chapter 2}

Summer POV:

 After standing in August's driveway for a few seconds unsure of what to do, I led the girls into my house. They just stood there and looked at me. 

"Uhh. Hey. Yall hungry?" I asked.

"MM-HMM. I'm starvin' Ms. Summa." The tall one said.

"You can just call me Summer, I don't mind." I said taking the little one's hand and leading her to the kitchen.

"You so propa. My Uncle Aug said propa people usually always rich white people." the middle-sized one said.

"Amiaya stop. This ladeh watchin' us na. Don't be rude." The tall one said. She has to be the oldest.

Looking at them kinda weird I said, "I'm not always proper, and hey I'm only 19. Yall ain't gotta be all stiff and scared around me. Now what yall want to eat? I got ice cream, noodles, cereal, ch-"

"ICE CREAM!" The middle one, or Amiaya screamed.

"Alright. Ice cream it is."

Aug POV:

 By da time I pulled up at his house, the ambulance was already thea. From what I saw, Brandon had two bullets in his right shoulda. I just shook my head. Damn. Chandra was talkin' ta da cops and ain't even see me, so I walked towards dat way.

  "I-Ion know. We was jus' sittin on da porch an' dey had came from dat way. I ain' recognize nobody face or nothin'. They jus' start shootin." Chandra explained ta da cop.

"Ma'am do you remember what kind of car it was?" The cop asked.

Can't the nigga see she stressed right na?

"N-No I ain' pay attention. Can I ride in da ambulance wit' my babeh? Dey bouta leave."

The cop sighed and said, "Yes ma'am."

"Chandra." I said once the cop walked off.

"Aug Ion have time ta talk. I gotta make sure he okay. I'a be damned if anotha Mel situation happen again." she started cryin' and walked to the ambulance.

I just stood there lookin' in ha direction. That shit kinda hit me hard.

Summer POV:

I was sitting at the table with the girls and we were eating our ice cream.

"So how old are you guys?" I asked them.

"I'm ten, Amiaya eight, and this one right hea, KayKay, she fo'." The tall one said.

She is the oldest. "So what's your name?" I asked.

"Chay." She said licking her ice cream again.

Right then, KayKay dropped her ice cream and started screaming.

"No, no, no. Please don't cry." I said kneeling on the ground.

She kept crying and got louder. The other girls just sat there, happily eating her ice cream. I looked at her, not knowing what to do because we had ran out of ice cream.

"OH MY GAEWD GURL STAEHP!" I yelled poking my lips out, doing my signature vine voice.

Chay and Amiaya looked at me like I was damn near crazy but KayKay started laughing. I sat there and looked at all of them. This should be a fun night.
