Most of the Knights of Ardonia had gone to Northwind to retrieve the Aggressium Prime. Some of us had stayed back to help around and to prevent any fights between Gallaniara and Ingressus. Gallaniara, Kayla and I stayed back along with some others.
"They're back!" I heard someone from above shout. We all rushed towards the entrance and opened it. The team all looked tired and injured. I noticed that Senn, Achillean and Denny were missing. Ria answered my question before I could ask.
"Senn was captured. We lost Achillean and Denny," she said, her voice almost a whisper. I froze. He died? Tidesinger died!? And we lost an Enderknight? How could this get any worse?
I felt a hand on my shoulder and flinched. Gallaniara pulled me to the side of the room.
"Ardonia to Abalyes, are you in there?" She asked, trying to get my attention. I cracked a small smile at her joke, then it faded. "I know how you're feeling right now. Pure shock is stopping your grief from taking over, isn't it? That's what it was like when our home got attacked." I stayed silent. Gallaniara took my hand and lead me to the same hill Achillean and I had watched the stars. We sat down and Gallaniara put an arm around me.
Then something in me snapped. I felt like I couldn't breath the grief was so strong. Gallaniara hugged me close as I cried into her shoulder. She was crying as well but she made it less noticeable.
We stayed up there until midnight. Both of us were exhausted from crying and the fighting we did during the day.
I was roughly shaken awake by Hubris.
"Come on, we need everyone in the meeting room," he said. I followed him out to the meeting room and saw that all of the Knights of Ardonia were there. Gallaniara gave me a small smile and I went over to her.
"What's this all about?" I asked her.
"Honestly, I have no idea," she replied.
"Where's Kayla?"
"Wandering about somewhere. She'll turn up."
A couple minutes later, Kayla came sprinting into the room.
"Sorry I'm late," she puffed.
"It's fine," Ria said. "Well, now that everyone's here, I can finally explain my plan to get the Deathsinger and the Nether in the same spot."
