I didn’t talk to my mom for the next couple of days, I made sure to leave the house after she was gone and whenever she tried to talk to me I simply made up some excuse to get away from her.
I don’t know why I was so pissed off if you could even call it that. I mean it was kind of creepy how the exact same guy from my dream sat at my kitchen table and I was supposed to remember him! I don’t know about Adam but I would be quite scared if someone said that to me.
Shaking my head clear of all thoughts I grabbed a power bar from the kitchen and headed out the door, I had to pick up Lexi on the way to the mall to help her look for her dress because I called off our shopping spree from a couple of days ago.
“So explain it again,” was the first thing Lexi said when she climbed into my car.
“The important thing I had to go home for was to see this guy Adam sitting at my kitchen table, apparently I was supposed to remember him! The only place I even knew him from was my dream but it wasn’t like I was going to tell them that. Apparently we used to be friends, but I don’t remember being friends with anyone named Adam. This whole thing is pissing me off!”
“Good thing we’re shopping today,” She grinned at me knowing my weakness.
“So what kind of dress are you looking for exactly?”
“Something short- about mid-thigh but not slutty,” She answered right away.
“So not your usual,” I teased.
“Oh shush,” She laughed as I pulled into a parking spot. “I wish you would come!”
“I told you, I don’t like the charity events. Besides I’m busy.”
“Downloading crappy music doesn’t count as busy.”
“Country music is not crappy,” I said defending my favorite music from my best friend. “Besides only weird people like Justin Beiber!”
“He is hot!”
“Is not, besides you stalk the kid, tell me how that is normal?”
Lexi rolled her eyes, “I do not stalk him!”
“What is his middle name?”
“Drew.”
“When’s his birthday?”
“March first, same day as Kesha’s.”
“How long does he sleep each night?” I didn’t expect her to know this one.
“Six hours because of how busy his schedule is.”
“Yeah, definitely not a stalker,” I said sarcastically.
“Just be glad I don’t stalk you,” She snapped but I could tell she wasn’t mad, for as long as I’ve known her not once have we fought.
“Honey, I’m sorry to break it to you but I already know you stalk me, everyone loves me far too much!”
“Damn it,” Lexi swore just loud enough for me to hear. “I thought I covered my tracks better!”
I simply laughed in response. We walked around the mall looking for a store that caught our attention.
“What about this dress,” Ali asked pointing to a black strapless dress on display.
“You said you didn’t want slutty,” I pointed out. Rolling her eyes at me she pulled me into the store where we split up to try and find dresses for her.
“Ali,” I called over my shoulder. “What about this one?” This one happened to be a strapless dark blue dress that stopped just above the knees with a few rhinestones on the front.
