I'm sitting in my office processing everything from all the letters and secrets she kept.

But what's blowing my mind is the cancer.

"One whole fucking month and she couldn't tell me" I run my hands through my hair frustrated

"Daddy" Selena runs into my office

"Selena no" Maria runs in and picks her up "I'm so sorry Mattia"

"It's ok Maria" I look up at her

"It won't happen again" she looks down disappointed

"Maria it's ok, I know the twins are a hand full. They get it from their mother, like dead ass if you would've seen how she was you would understand" we both laugh a little

"You miss her a lot I can tell" she smiles

"Yea I really do" I look at a picture of us I have on my desk, and the one with the kids and her pregnant with the twins.

"Well I'll let you get back to work" she turns around "oh Mattia is it ok if I go out at 3" she ask

"Yea" I start sorting the papers "take your time to you need space from the twins" we both chuckle and she walks out

"Emily why did you have to be so secretive. I thought you trusted me" I put my face in my hands

This shit hurts to find out....like my whole wife couldn't tell me this shit but I get it she was trying to protect me from the pain.

My phone starts ringing and I pick it up

"Yes roshaun" I answer upset

"Your upset" he ask

"Nooooo....it's not like my wife kept hella secrets from me" I roll my eyes

"Bitch don't get mad at me" he says and we both laugh a little "anyways I got the address to the person receiving the money"

"Send it to me" I ask grabbing my keys

"Ight...and it's.....sent" he says and my phone dings

"Ight I'll text y'all what I see and if I need back up bye" I walk out the office hanging up

"Maria" I call out and she come to me with a red mark on her arm

"You ok" I grab her arm looking at it

"Yea I just fell going up the stairs" she laughs a little

"Be careful" I laugh letting go

"Ima take the kids to my dads bc I gotta go to this address and idk how long I'll take" I tell her

"Oh no need I'll just stay and watch them" she puts her hair up

"No maria you work a lot take a break and breathe" I tell her

"Mattia I can't even though I'll love to I need the money" she looks at me with shame

"I'll still pay your full hours I promise" I look down at her with questioning eyes

"Please just lemme watch them cause I don't want pity money" she says

"No maria take a break" I look down at her

"But ima feel wrong if I'm not near you or the kids and still getting payed" she says

"Ok then change and you can come with me" I say and she was about to say something so I cover her mouth
