"STOOP" I scream as pa is trying to pop my wrist back into place

"Our daughters really just fought like that" Mami paces back nd forth

"YES EMILY THIS JUST DID" pa shouts mad at me and Cici "VANNESSA WHAT WERE YOU THINKING" he shouts and pops it back in making me scream.

"Mattia" Mami slaps the back of his head

"I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND" pa shouts frustrated

"I'm sorry" I cry as he wraps my wrist "we got hella drunk and I would be lying if I say I never had a crush on him"

"Vanessa still that's your sister boyfriend. He kiss father, the only guy she's trusted with her body and you have Mike" Mami says calm

"Had Mike" I mumble

"Where Cicilia now" pa ask cleaning my face

"She ran off with Kobe and Seph after her" Mami says helping too

"I see he picked a side" I mumble with a tear going down my face

"There's no sides Vanessa" pa sighs "he's just making sure we don't have to go to Val telling her that Cici isn't coming back"

"Matti don't say that to her" Mami slaps the back of his head

"It's the trust Emily I know how it feel to have your kids taken and someone you care about break in front of your eyes" he looks at her and she sighs

"Matti that happened years ago" she looks up at him

"But it still happened and it's sucked cause I didn't know if I was gonna see Cici or Seph ever again" he looks down at her then back at me

"I would never cut you out their lives and plus they weren't born yet" she says

"And his pain and regret is way worse cause he has gotten to meet his kids and spend time being a dad" he replies "how do you think Cicilia's gonna fee when Val cries at night for Derek cause she can't sleep without getting a kiss from him"

"OK JUST STOP I GET IT IM A FUCK UP AND A FAILURE" I shout and they both look at me

"Your not a failure you just made a mistake" pa says

"That ended a relationship and soon to be marriage" Mami mumbles

"Really" pa looks at her

"Says the one who was just going off" Mami says

"At the end of the day y'all are all young and are still learning" pa says

"Cicilia love you too much Vanessa just give it time. Just how she loves Derek to much" Mami says "and trust me I know" she winks at me then looks up at pa with a dumb smile on her face making him chuckle.

"What about Mike this is the second time" I sigh

"Vanessa your young and he knows that and he knows how you get with liquor in your system. He probably mad at Derek more than at you" pa says

"He said he's disappointed" I look away

"And he will and should be but he loves you too much" Mami says "you know how much that boy cried while you were flat lining that time we almost lost you" ma says "he wouldn't leave that hospital room till you got home and were safe"
