"Marnie." Bakugo hissed as he landed next to her in the city. "What's going on?"
"They're on the move." She whispered quietly as she closed her eyes and consentrated everything on her surroundings. She blocked out the noise of the traffic and the chatter before turning her head to the right. "Two blocks over to the East!" She yelled before jumping into action.
"Wait!" Bakugo yelled as he ran after her with Elemental by his side.
"That girl waits for nothing." Elemental said with a small laugh as her feet hit the pavement. Her and the fiery blonde ran through the crowd at full speed, attempting to avoid the pedestrians.
"Who is it Marnie?" Bakugo asked as him and his side kick caught up to the purple haired girl.
"Jessica." She replied as she made a sharp right. The pro's followed her quickly. Marnie had an amazing quirk called sensory. By turning off her senses, she could pin point anybody in a crowd within half a mile. She had to rely on her fighting skills to take down villains, but they were never going to make a getaway with her there.
"Where is she?" Bakugo questioned as the women in front of him slowed down. Marnie looked around slowly, observing her surroundings before closing her eyes once more.
"Come on Marn." Elemental pleaded as she began looking around the area anxiously.
"Underground!" Marnie yelled as she ran for the sewer grate in the middle of the street. All the cars slammed on their breaks as they began laying on their horns simultaneously.
"Damnit Marnie!" Bakugo yelled as he grabbed the metal grate. "Be fucking careful!" He yelled as he pulled as hard as he could, lifting the chunk of metal from it's position.
"Sorry boss!" She yelled as she put her left leg into the hole, ready to jump.
"Not so fast!" Bakugo groaned as he firmly grabbed her arm. She looked towards him with shock.
"We're wasting time!" She yelled back and she shook her arm from his grasp.
"I know you have so much adrenaline pumping through your veins." He spat quickly as he looked to her with worry. "But you are still a student. I will go first, then you, then Elemental." He said quickly as he began pushing his body towards the hole.
"But I ca-"
"Listen to him Marn." Elemental warned as she watched Bakugo slowly climb down the ladder. "He isn't doing this to be mean or punish you. He knows you can handle yourself." She said as she set a reassuring hand on the purple haired girls shoulder. "You have to remember who we are going up against." She reminded as she slowly helped Marnie get settled on the top of the ladder. "We may have gotten the bigger threats of the streets in America, but these are still the same people that put DGZ through hell, he just doesn't want to see anybody get hurt." She sad with a frown as she recalled every incident the streets had put them through. "He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he did." She mumbled quietly as she began climbing the ladder herself.
Marnie didn't answer as a pang of guilt hit her chest. She knew Elemental was right, but it was hard. She wanted to put her best foot forward and prove she could do everything. She wanted to show she had what it takes to be a future sidekick to DGZ. She wanted to prove to her parents that you don't need a flashy quirk or a strength quirk to to be a great hero. She had a lot of people she wanted to prove herself to.
"We're all taking a shower as soon as this is done." Bakugo groaned as he held out his hand for Marnie to grab. She happily took his hand as she jumped off the ladder into about a foot and a half of sewage.
