"...And that's all for today's work schedule, sir."
Levi nodded as he sipped his newly made tea. "So I can go home early tonight?"
"Yes, sir. However, you do have a small family dinner held tonight so you have to return to the main house." The assistant in front of him stated while holding an iPad that is used to write the higher-up's work timetable.
"Oh well." Levi rolled his eyes.
"Anything else you need me for, sir?" Levi took a look at the person assisting him, the chocolatey hair, slicked back neat but messy at the same time. Emerald eyes that shine slightly whatsoever. This person is damn attractive, probably the most attractive person in the company and even his boss thought so too.
"No need, thanks Eren." He nodded once again to the brunette.
"Welcome, sir. Have a great day." Eren smiled brightly to his head before turning around, trotting gracefully to the door and walked out of his office.
Levi sighed and rubbed his face with both his hands. He is not that stress for today. Only checking up some files and joining a small meeting with one of the departments. Heck, most of his paperworks were almost settled by his PA and the Secretarial Department.
Levi sipped his cup of tea again before diving into his bundle of papers.
------
"I'm home." Levi said as he soon walked past the hallways and into the dining room.
"Ah, Levi!" Kuchel exclaimed happily, hands clasped together at the side of her head.
"Welcome home," she hugged Levi.
"Hm." Levi answered nonchalantly.
"Hard day, today?" Farlan, his adopted brother asked.
"Not really, just tired I guess."
"Ooh! Look, Big Bro! I helped mum to make your favourite food," Isabel said, pointing to the row of food in front of her.
"Thank you." He smiled slightly but genuinely.
"Let's start eating. Itadakimasu." Kuchel prayed, lacing both of her hands together before they started eating.
It was a normal and fun dinner. They discussed about what was happening with their life to Kuchel and she was very interested in Levi's since he lived away and he took over the company Kenny gave him. Simply intrigued of a CEO's life.
Kuchel and Farlan laughed softly before Kuchel turned to Levi, "Anyway, Levi. Can I ask you something?"
"What?"
"When are you getting married?"
Silence.
Silence.
Silence.
Dead silence.
"No." Levi finally said, grumpily.
"What do you mean no? You're turning 30 this year!"
"Yeah, I know. But marriage is not that important-"
"It does?!" Kuchel said expectantly.
"...-to me." Levi finished his sentence.
Farlan sighed, "I don't think you really need to force him, mum."
"Yeah, he isn't even meeting anyone." Isabel whispered.
Silence.
Again.
