Elder - Haileye
Haileye is a smaller she-cat, with eyes like two chips of ice. Her appearance is quite scrawny, with her once beautiful grey fur now clinging to her ragged body. Her age is beginning to show on her muzzle too, with white hair appearing around her eyes and small grey nose. It was obvious that Haileye was once a gorgeous cat, but her looks are beginning to fade as moons pass. Although there's one thing that appears never to fade, her personality. Haileye has a wonderful air about her, of charm and warmth. And welcomes any cat who wishes to chat or ask for her advice. Quite the contrast to her den-mate, Glass. But the two she-cats seem to even each other out nicely. Although beneath her friendly words and helpful charm, Haileye is full of grief and loneliness. Grief for her long lost mate, and grief for the kit she never saw grow up. Because seasons ago, when Haileye was still a warrior, she fell in love with a handsome tom named Eaglescar. And together the pair had a single kit, named Heavykit. But before Heavykit was old enough to join the apprentices an adder snuck into the camp, and stole Heavykit's life. Eaglescar was taken from her less than a moon later in a thunder-storm, crushed by a falling branch. And even though Haileye grieves silently, she still tries hard to be the elder her Clan expects. And chooses to help guide new young cats, and protect them from the fate met by her own kit. Haileye is now 90 moons, but doesn't appear to be giving in any time soon. Her song represents her yearning for Eaglescar and Heavykit, and her wonder of their existence now.
