Michael was supposed to meet you at your house today, but something told you that there was something wrong. It was this feeling in the pit of your stomach that made you feel uneasy. With that in mind, you set off to his house. It was easy to get there, you had done it many times. But the feeling started getting worse. You just knew that there was something bad going on. You let yourself in, and started to walk towards the loud Green Day playing. You opened his door and your heart broke.

There was a videogame on the tv screen, but it wasn't being played. Michael was in the corner of his room. You could hear him sobbing. You could hear him crying.

"Michael, are you okay?"

He turned around. His eyes were red and puffy. He looked so heartbroken it hurt you.

"Go away! I don't want you to see me like this!"

You knew he didn't mean it.

"Tell me what's wrong, and don't ask me to leave again because you know I won't!"

He looked at you and started to cry again.

"It's just...that...she broke up with me"

Michael had a girlfriend. They had been going out for a couple of months now.

"That's what you're crying for? Her?"

You couldn't hide the bit of anger in your voice as it rose.

"She was great, I guess I just didn't deserve her..."

He was quiet, but you couldn't help getting mad.

"If she was the one that dumped you, then she didn't deserve you. You are the most amazing person I've ever met. You're talented, sweet, fun, you are everything a girl wants. She's stupid for not being able to see that!"

He got up from the floor.

"You don't understand! I think I loved her and now I'm losing her! You don't know how it feels to lose someone you love!"

This made you angry enough that tears started to make their way down your cheeks.

"You have no idea Michael!"

You started to get lightheaded and had to sit down on his bed.

"You can't talk to me about losing someone! I lose you everyday, Michael! You are so into your girlfriend you don't notice me! I lost you there! I lose you every time you go on tour!"

Now you were sobbing. You didn't mean to tell him that, but now it was out there. He came to sit down next to you.

"You know what she told me? She said it was over because I didn't treat her right. She said I spent more time with you than her. She said she could see that I thought of you when I was with her. She said I acted more like your boyfriend than hers."

He stopped and put his hand on the side of your face, forcing you to look at him.

"I had no idea, y/n. And seeing you like this breaks me. I had no idea you felt like that."

You both held each other while the speakers played "Macy's Day Parade". You were starting to drift off to sleep when you heard him say, "maybe, I'm starting to figure out that I feel the same way." And sleep took over.
