You and Michael were walking down a sidewalk on your way to the movies. The sun was surprisingly bright. Michael had his arm around your shoulders. You could feel every nerve on your skin come alive and every space where he touched got warm instantaneously. He was talking about a song on his new album, but you couldn't focus since there was a swarm of butterflies attacking your belly. He started saying that he wanted to dye his hair again, coincidentally your favorite color. You couldn't hide the smile that appeared every time he was near you. You had no idea if the guys knew, but it seemed quite obvious to you that you liked Michael. He stopped walking and pointed across the street.
There was a pizza parlor.
"You wanna go eat?"
"God y/n, I thought you would never ask!"
You walked across the street and he left you to choose the seat while he ordered the pizza. You chose a booth by the window. You wouldn't admit it, but you loved the way the sun made his eyes sparkle.
A guy walked into the parlor. He saw you and sat next to you.
"Could I take you home tonight?"
"Please go away" He was making you uncomfortable. He was getting closer and was pushing you against the window.
A second later, Michael grabbed him and punched him. He shoved him on the floor and said "Stay the hell away from my girlfriend!"
He sat down and started muttering, but you were awestruck. Your heart skipped a beat. Did he? Did he really just call you his girlfriend?

"Did that bastard do anything to you?"
"Not really, you came just in time Michael," you couldn't look him in the eye. He probably didn't think about it. He would never date you. There were so many other girls out there. It looked like he was about to say something but the pizza arrived. He started eating and you grabbed a slice. You ate slowly since your mind was filled with "what ifs".
"Y/n, is something wrong?"
"I'm fine"
You looked up at him and his concerned look tore your heart apart.
"No, you're not. I can see it. Tell me what's wrong"
Oh God, his voice was the sweetest thing you had ever heard. You couldn't keep it away from him. You just can't.
"I know this might sound childish, and I'm probably wrong. And I'm going to regret it, but I kinda heard you tell that guy that I was your...girlfriend"
You pause. You had been looking down, and when you look back up, you see Michael blushing.
"I didn't think you heard that. Is that why you're sad?"
"Well yes, but no." You search for the right words but can't find them. "It's just that you're great Michael-"
"But you don't like me in that way" he interrupts.
You start laughing. Had he not paid attention?
"Michael, I really like you! I thought you didn't like me in that way"
His face started getting brighter, and he started making your favorite smile.
"How could I not like you? Y/n, you're amazing! Any guy would be lucky to even call you a friend!"
"So, you meant it? Would you really like me to be your girlfriend?"
"It would make me the happiest guy that ever existed, say would you like to go play some videogames?"
"And miss the movie?"
"We could watch it another day"
"Okay then"
As you were making your way out of the parlor, he took your hand. Your smile never stopped. The best thing? You guys didn't even finish the pizza. That's how you knew he meant everything he said.
